IFA 2019 | Motorola makes the One Zoom and Moto E6 Plus official
The Lenovo-owned smartphone brand Motorola has 2 new smartphones to show off at IFA this year. The more premium of these is the rumored One Zoom, a phone projected to come with a rear-camera housing stretched into a rectangle in order to accomodate its many sensors. As it turns out, the leaks alleging this detail have proven 100% accurate.
The main shooter in this quadruple arrangement is a 48MP module. The One Zoom is also equipped with AI enhancements, pixel-binning technology, dual OIS, and a Night Vision mode. Its secondary and tertiary cameras are an 8MP telephoto lens and a 16MP ultrawide sensor.
This new phone also has a 6.4-inch Max Vision OLED-Display, which has an in-display fingerprint sensor and the punch-hole camera found in the rest of the 2019 Motorola One line-up. It is kept going by a "2-day" 4000mAh battery and Motorola's TurboPower charging standard.
The second new phone is an upgrade over the existing Moto E6 in that it has dual 13+2MP rear cameras, as opposed to 1 13MP sensor. It also steps up the display size from 5.5 to 6.1 inches; unfortunately, its resolution has remained at HD+. However, Lenovo has not graced us with any further information, such as which SoC the One Zoom or Moto E6 Plus will have. We will update with these details as soon as they become apparent.
However, we do know that the One Zoom will be made available in Cosmic Purple or Electric Gray. The E6 Plus will have a single Gunmetal color option. They will go on sale in Germany from today (September 5, 2019). The new Motorola One variant will cost €429.99 (US$475), whereas the new Moto E will be priced at €139.99 ($155).
