A new image has reportedly been posted to Weibo showing a black or dark-colored phone with the branding "Nex" and a round camera module. Therefore, it is possible that this device is the successor to the Vivo Nex Dual Display, out for a stealthy jaunt in the real world prior to its official launch, which will probably take place later this year.
The putative Nex 3 mostly attracts attention due to an official teaser that asserted its upgrade to a state-of-the-art "waterfall" screen (as well as the aforementioned watchface-inspired rear camera housing). Further details on this upcoming flagship have also apparently emerged on social media.
They indicate that the Nex 3's display will be rather extra in terms of screen dimensions as well: it may be a 6.89-inch FHD+ panel. The phone is also now projected to rock the Snapdragon 855 Plus, which will support variants with either 4G or 5G. The Vivo Nex 3 is also now thought to have either 8 or 12GB of RAM, paired with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB internal storage options.
This new leak also suggests that the Nex 3 will have the same 4500mAh battery found in the new iQOO Pro, as well as the same rapid 44-watt charging standard. Finally, the phone is also now rumored to retain a headphone jack, a thing that can no longer be said of some other recently-launched premium devices.
