Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A90 5G. The device is the first from the company to feature the new cellular standard targeted at the mid-range segment of the market. Overall, it is the third device from the company following the Galaxy S10 5G and the Galaxy Note 10 5G to feature the technology. It makes good on Samsung’s promise to expedite the addition of flagship features to its mid-range phones (albeit at the top end of the segment).
The Galaxy A90 5G not only incorporates the latest cellular technology, but it is also packing the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core chipset highlighting just how serious Samsung is about tackling the Chinese competition. It also comes with plenty of RAM with either 6 GB or 8 GB options paired with 128 GB of onboard storage expandable via microSD. It also centers on a high-quality 6.7-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels with embedded fingerprint sensor.
On the rear it features a triple camera array comprised of a 48 MP main shooter, a depth-sensing 5 MP camera and an ultra-wide 8 MP camera. It also packs a whopping 4,500 mAh battery and even features Samsung’s latest 25 W fast charging technology. The Galaxy A90 5G goes on sale in its home market from September 4 with other markets to follow and will be available in black and white colors. The all-important pricing details are yet to be announced, however.
