Lei Jun, Xiaomi's CEO, announced at a press conference that 43.9% of the company's revenues in the third quarter of 2018 had come from international markets. These overseas earnings had increased by over 100% compared to last year. This may be attributed to Xiaomi's by-now solid standing in Europe as an electronics provider.

Open Beta 7, the latest in a series of in-testing stock ROMs available to owners of the OnePlus 6 to test out, contains an interesting new feature. It is OnePlus Roaming, a SIM-independent form of access to the internet that can be purchased directly on the 6 - and only the 6 for now.

A Korean IT news outlet claims that Samsung is developing three-dimensional time-of-flight (3D TOF) modules for next year's phones. 3D TOF is linked to improved depth-sensing and AR capabilities. The Galaxy S10 line may be in line for these next-gen sensors.

A key Samsung executive has just confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy F foldable handset will ship with Bixby 2.0's successor. The results show Qualcomm's renewed focus on AI will put it firmly ahead of competitors in 2019.

A recent listing on Geekbench details an upcoming Samsung device. The Samsung SM-M205F, otherwise known as the Galaxy M20, will likely be the first entry in Samsung's new mid-range Galaxy M line. Sporting an Exynos 7885 SoC and 3 GB of RAM, the Galaxy M20 looks poised to supplant the aging Galaxy J line.

Asus will be seeding the Android 9 Pie update for the ZenFone 5Z by the end of January 2019. The new update is expected to bring new features including a new contextual pop-up volume bar and a new Magnifier for easy copy-paste.

According to some of its suppliers, Apple has cut orders for both the iPhone XS and iPhone XR. Citing a weak Chinese market and a slowdown in smartphone demand, Apple has had to pare back its supply of the new iPhones, a move that will inevitably reduce sales in the short term.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) has just become the first Galaxy J series handset to receive two major upgrades for the operating system. In some markets, this handset has received Android 8.1 Oreo, but it is not clear yet if the Galaxy J5 (2016) will get the same treatment or not. The new firmware comes with Samsung Experience 9.5 on top.

Finally launched in the United States earlier this month, the Motorola One is already receiving Android 9.0 Pie. In addition to the Motorola One, Android Pie is now reaching the Motorola One Power as well. Both these two handsets are also expected to get the Android 10 Q update once it comes out.

The Red Magic may represent a novel alternative in a gaming-phone space dominated by a small number of brands. This phone, marketed by the ZTE sub-brand Nubia, is reportedly getting a second generation. A new leak shows a Geekbench score for the phone, and suggests some other new details about the device.

Images of what is purported to be a Google Pixel 3 Lite device have been leaked online. The pictures show a smartphone that features a 3.5 mm jack and is not blighted with the presence of a notch. Specifications for the device are also listed with the leaked images, suggesting it will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 as SoC.

An early press render of the upcoming Moto G7 Plus show that Motorola may be redesigning their popular mid-range handset. The press render shows an almost all-display front with a waterdrop notch similar to the OnePlus 6T and very thin top and side bezels.

According to the specs revealed on TENAA, the Honor 10 Lite will retain the 6.21-inch 1080p display from the original Honor 10 model, but the 24 MP selfie cam notch will be smaller. Red Magic is an 'alternative' gaming phone developed by Nubia in order to compete with the likes of Xiaomi's Black Shark. Now, the second generation of this device, which may be called the Red Magic Mars, has started to show up in benchmarks. It has reportedly beaten the Black Shark Helo variant by about 20,000 points on Antutu so far.

In a paper presented at a biometric securities conference, a research team from NYU showed off a new algorithm for cracking fingerprint readers. The system, named "DeepMasterPrints," operates in similar fashion to a dictionary attack for passwords. DeepMasterPrints uses a library of fingerprint images and permutes them until it finds a match.

Samsung has unveiled its new premium SoC, the Exynos 9820. The chipset will be used on devices like the much-awaited Galaxy S10 and Note 10. It is built on Samsung's 8nm node and features the new Mali-G76 GPU found on the Kirin 980.
