GearBest has launched a promotion that brings its price for the Xiaomi Mi 9 from US$516.87 down to $377.99. However, using a coupon listed on a different page cuts this discounted price again, to $359.99. On the other hand, the listing is for the phone's base model, a 6GB/64GB SKU.
Deirdre O Donnell,

Fans of 2019 flagship specs at prices that don't approach US$1000 may be pleased to learn that GearBest is holding a sales event in which the Xiaomi Mi 9 is being sold for as little as US$359.99. This phone is listed on a page on which the phone is down to $377.99 from its usual $516. However, following a banner just above it results in the discovery of a coupon for even more off this device.

The Mi 9 bucks the trend of super-expensive premium phones this year, as it started at just $445 when it was brand new. It has triple rear cameras and a waterdrop-notched 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. On the other hand, its base variant had only 6GB of RAM, whereas there is also a 12GB SKU available. Unfortunately, this also applies to the GearBest deal.

Fans of the color option Xiaomi calls Lavender-Violet may also be disappointed, as only the Ocean Blue and Piano Black versions are left on this sale. Then again, those in need of a phone that remains appreciably powerful for the time being could really benefit from this limited-time offer. They have about 22 hours from now (19:32 CET on June 7, 2019) to avail of it.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
