Update: A different Samsung official has refuted this report in a subsequent article by the Korean Herald. This individual is quoted as saying: "If we are running such a media event this month, we should be doing something by now". Therefore, it now appears as though the Galaxy Fold's eventual release may see further delays, perhaps even beyond July 2019.
A public release for Samsung's Galaxy Fold has been suspended while the company addresses some build-quality issues uncovered by preliminary reviews of the ground-breaking phone. However, there is nothing to say the device will never see the light of day. A new report posted by a South Korean news site suggests that those who want the super-expensive foldable phone now only have about another month to wait.
This outlet - NewsTomato - encountered the Samsung executive Kim Dong-jin and pressed him for an update on the Galaxy Fold's release date. The division head may not have given a completely concrete answer, but also let the date July 7 slip. Therefore, it is possible that the foldable phone may become available again a month from today (June 7, 2019).
NewsTomato also quoted a second "Samsung official" in that the OEM would hold a press conference later this month to confirm or deny this indication for sure. In the meantime, TizenHelp is also reportedly in a position to announce that prospective Galaxy Fold buyers should gear up for a gaming exclusive to go with its US$1980 price tag. This title will be the Nexon studio's MMORPG Traha.
