MSI may have launched many new laptops today, but has also announced the CreatorPro Z16P, a professional alternative to the Creator Z16P revealed in January. The CreatorPro Z16P will be available with two new NVIDIA workstation GPUs, along with Core i7-12700H and Core i9-12900H processors.

The popular XPS 15 has gotten a bit faster today with the launch of Intel's Alder Lake-H platform. Users can choose between black or white chassis color options and up to the unlocked Core i9-12900HK.

The base configuration ships with the Core i5-12500H, integrated UHD Graphics, 1200p display, 256 GB SSD, and just 8 GB of expandable DDR5 RAM. This year will be a relatively minor update as the chassis design is still rather new all things considered.

MSI has revealed a refreshed Prestige 14 EVO, a 14-inch laptop now based on Intel Alder Lake processors. Starting at US$929, the Prestige 14 EVO will cost up to US$1,299 with a Core i7-1280P, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD.

The MSI Prestige 15 has been announced with 12th-generation Intel Alder Lake CPUs, up to a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB storage and an 82 Wh battery. Prices start at US$1,399 for the base variant, and availability will be announced later.

MSI has announced the MSI Modern 15 with 12th-generation Intel Alder Lake-U processors, 52 Wh battery, 15-inch FHD screen, 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. Its entry-level variant costs US$849 and will be available to purchase later in the year.

MSI has refreshed the Prestige 14, which now features up to the Core i7-1260P and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU. The new Prestige 14 packs plenty of other hardware too, including a 52 Wh battery that supports 100 W charging and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports.

MSI has announced refreshed Summit E13 Flip Evo and Summit E14 Flip Evo business and productivity laptops. This year's, the Summit Flip Series gets an upgrade to Intel Alder Lake-P 28 W processors and features new security functionality such as Tobii Aware and Tile tracking. Both the Summit E13 Flip Evo and Summit E14 Flip Evo are Intel Evo 3-certified and come with Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6E.

MSI has announced an upgraded Modern 14, which now relies on Intel Alder Lake processors. Restricted to 15 W parts, the Modern 14 also only comes with one memory configuration and two colourways. The new MSI Modern 14 starts at US$699 and rises to US$799 with a Core i5-1235U processor.

The high-end Dell XPS 15 laptop is on sale at Best Buy. It features a 15.6-inch WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) LCD screen, Intel Tiger Lake-H processor, an Nvidia Ampere graphics card, 512 GB of storage and 16 GB of RAM. It can be bought for US$1,599, which is US$300 less than its asking price.

Prime Computer has announced the PrimeBook Circular, a modern laptop with modular components. Available with various processors from the Intel Celeron 6305 to the Core i7-1185G7, the PrimeBook Circular has a 77 Wh battery, a 3,000 x 2,000-pixel touchscreen display and weighs 1.5 kg. The PrimeBook Circular comes with 3-years manufacturer's warranty by default, too.

Three new high-end Alder Lake processors have been benchmarked on Geekbench. The Intel Core i9-12950HX, Core i7-12850HX, Core i5-12600HX are upcoming Alder Lake-HX processors slated for a May/June 2022 launch. They will have a base TDP of 55 W, and some models could offer extra cores/threads.

Samsung is throwing in a free 165 Hz 32-inch Odyssey curved gaming monitor for those who pre-order the upcoming Galaxy Book2 Pro laptop before April 1. The monitor retails for about $329 USD while the Galaxy Book2 Pro retails for $1050.

Lenovo introduced the IdeaPad Gaming 3i last month, but a retailer has revealed how much the 15-inch laptop will cost with an Intel Core i5-12450H processor and an Intel Arc A370M GPU. Units are not expected to begin shipping until late May though, two months after Intel releases its Arc Graphics series.

A third-party retailer has started offering the Swift X SFX16-52G, Acer's 16-inch laptop with an Intel Arc dedicated GPU. Available with Core i5-1240P and Core i7-1260P processors, the Swift X also utilises the Intel Arc A370M plus a 1600p display and LPDDR5 RAM. The SFX16-52G starts at €1,299, excluding taxes.

LG has refreshed the Gram 16 and Gram 17 with the newest Intel Alder Lake processors, a 16:10 screen, LPDDR5 RAM, PCIe Gen 4 storage and an optional Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 graphics card. They can be pre-ordered in South Korea, starting at KRW 2.29 million (US$1,885) and KRW 2.39 million (US$1,970) for the 16-inch and 17-inch models, respectively

Laptops tend to get thinner every year, but is this really a good thing for a gaming system? We are not sure and the new Alienware x14 shows that a thin chassis requires compromises in terms of performance.

Dell has announced the availability of new G-series monitors in the US and Canada. They include 32-inch variants with "fast IPS" panels, one of which is 4K/UHD and the other QHD and USB type-C enabled. They both support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and fast refresh rates, although only one of them features HDMI 2.1.

Xiaomi has unveiled the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022, a new 15.6-inch laptop with plenty of intriguing features, including a choice of two powerful Intel Alder Lake processors. The RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 has a 90 Hz and 3.2K display, too.

Chuwi has revealed an upgraded version of the CoreBook X 2022, a 14-inch laptop with a 3:2 display. Sadly, the CoreBook X 2022 comes with the Core i3-10110U, an ageing Intel Comet Lake-U series processor. Chuwi will start selling the CoreBook X 2022 later this month.

Xiaomi is preparing to release a thinner and lighter gaming laptop under its RedmiBook series. Not only will the Redmi K50 launch event showcase new smartphones, it will also be the place where Xiaomi unveils the RedmiBook Pro 2022. The RedmiBook Pro 2022 will arrive with Intel Alder Lake-H processors and NVIDIA GPUs mated to a 90 Hz display. The upcoming gaming laptop will debut with a revised cooling system too, among other features.

Apple may not be known for being first, but the impact of its innovations is felt industry-wide. This has often drawn the ire of PC and Android fans, especially when it results in a decrease in the port-to-laptop ratio. That being said, some positive changes may come to pass from these recent changes.

Lenovo has showcased the ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 3, an updated convertible laptop with Intel's latest Alder Lake processors. The Gen 3 only contains minor upgrades from last year's model, but a thicker chassis has allowed Lenovo to equip the new ThinkPad X13 Yoga with a larger battery than its predecessor.

Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad L14 Gen 3 and ThinkPad L15 Gen 3 today with reduced chassis dimensions, lesser weight, and narrower bezels. The Intel variants, called the Gen 3i, get upgrades to Intel Alder Lake vPro up to the Core i7 while the AMD variants continue to be based on the Ryzen Pro 5000 APUs. Both the ThinkPad L14 Gen 3 and ThinkPad L15 Gen 3 now offer FHD webcams, and the Intel variants get several battery capacities to choose from.

Apple may offer the next iteration of Apple silicon, dubbed the M2 chip, in variants that range from the M2 with 8 CPU and 10 GPU cores to the M2 Extreme with up to a massive 48 CPU and 128 GPU cores. Between 2022 and 2023, Apple is expected to launch several Pro and Consumer Macs based on M2 including a Mac Pro with M2 Extreme, MacBook Air with M2, and MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max along with an A-series powered 7K Pro Display XDR among others.

Netflix has announced an increase in price for its subscribers in two more countries where it operates. Therefore, its users in the United Kingdom (UK) and Republic of Ireland (ROI) will start to see these somewhat inflated monthly charges soon. They will apply to all plan types offered by the streaming giant in either market.

A refreshed Lenovo Legion 7i gaming notebook has turned up on a retailer site sporting big-budget specs for an unsurprisingly high price. The 2022 Legion 7i retains its predecessor's 16-inch form while updating the CPU and GPU components, bringing in Intel’s 12th Gen Core i9-12900HX processor and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop chip.

The 15.6-inch laptop is an excellent all-rounder for multimedia, school, and even light gaming so long as you aren't looking for the most accurate colors or brightest display.

You can get the regular Surface Laptop with Intel or AMD processors, but Microsoft equips the new high-end device Surface Laptop Studio with old Tiger Lake quad-core CPUs, which are hardly competitive anymore. The manufacturer saved money in other respects as well.

A potent Intel Core i9-12900HX and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Lenovo laptop has been spotted on Geekbench producing predictably impressive results. The i9-12900HX Alder Lake part has 16 cores and 24 threads and hit a peak rate of 4,888 MHz. It’s likely that the unnamed device was a 2022 Legion 7i gaming notebook being put through its paces.

The Blade 100W is the latest power bank from Baseus. It is markedly light and thin for its category, yet is rated to charge devices such as MacBook Pros at their full rate on the go. It also drops to 65W for certain other laptops, or into a "low current mode" for smaller objects such as wireless earbuds or peripherals.

The new Spectre variant apparently has no effect on AMD's processors, yet it continues to affect Intel's processors ranging from Haswell up to Alder Lake, whereas ARM's affected products include the Cortex A15 / A57 / A72 cores plus Neoverse server-grade processors models V1, N1 and N2.

Some GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptops are faster than other laptops with the same GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. Just like with many Max-Q laptops in the past, the often overlooked TGP values shouldn't be ignored when deciding between different gaming laptops based on performance.
