As we move closer to the launch of AMD’s RDNA 3 graphics boards, information regarding the GPUs keeps on surfacing. The latest report comes from Kepler_L2 who has previously revealed the presence of six, 64-bit wide MCDs in the Navi 31 GPU.

Another Zen 3+ part has hit the PassMark benchmark website in the form of the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850H, which is basically the professional/business equivalent of the Ryzen 7 6800H. The Rembrandt-class Ryzen 7 PRO 6850H held up well against the Intel Core i7-12800H rival, with single-thread and multi-test scores resulting in shared spoils.

GPD has confirmed Valve's intentions to optimise Steam OS for new gaming handhelds that ship with Windows 11 by default. To be available for AMD Ryzen 7 6800U-backed machines first, the cooperation between GPD and Valve could allow other manufacturers to release Steam OS images for their latest gaming handhelds too.

The AMD Ryzen 7 6800U has finally turned up on the PassMark CPU testing site, and it has made a very promising first showing. GPD has announced a new Indiegogo campaign for its upcoming handheld, the GPD Win Max 2. One can choose between an Intel Core i7-1260p and an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor. Prices start at US$999 for the former and US$899 for the latter.

AOKZOE has outlined more details about the A1, which will ship with the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U. Soon to be available in Standard and Ultimate Editions, the AOKZOE A1 will offer up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-6400 RAM and a 65 Wh battery, among other features.

Anbernic has outlined more details about the Win600, a gaming handheld designed to run Steam OS or Windows 10. The Anbernic Win600 will be available with AMD Athlon 3000e APUs, a Radeon RX Vega 3 iGPU and 8 GB of RAM. All configurations feature 8 GB of RAM, a 39 Wh battery and a 5.94-inch display too.

With the growing inflation and the uncertainties brought by the Ukrainian war, Smartphones and PC components are not selling that well anymore, so Apple, AMD and Nvidia are now forced to scale back their chip orders from TSMC, which, in turn, might not see soaring revenues as previously projected in early 2022.

MSI has released a beta BIOS update that aims to get extra performance out of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. The BIOS update brings two new features, a "Kombo Strike" utility and a "Core Offset Voltage" option, on supported motherboards. The update hopes to make AMD's already-great gaming CPU even better.

GPD has announced what memory configuration in which it will offer the Win Max 2. Starting with 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, the Win Max 2 will be orderable next month in 12 SKUs, including several LTE versions. Pricing remains unknown at this stage, though.

CPU architect legend Jim Keller opined that AMD was stupid to cancel the K12 Core CPU. The K12 Core was designed by Keller, who was also the brains behind the Zen architecture, as a 64-bit ARMv8 platform that was originally slated for a 2017 launch. AMD canceled K12 Core and instead focused its resources on expanding Zen to various market segments.

Huawei has introduced the MateStation X in the UK, nearly four months after its European introduction at MWC 2022 in Barcelona. Only available in one configuration, the MateStation X combines Huawei's MateView display with a powerful 45 W APU.

The Navi 3x in question is supposed to feature a dual-GCD design with 16384 Stream Processors, which is a considerable upgrade over the Navi 31 rumored to feature a single-GCD design with 12288 SP. According to some sources, this might be a professional workstation GPU.

AMD has announced that its newest Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5995WX, 5975WX and 5965WX processors will be available to system integrators in July 2022. DIY builders will also be able to purchase said CPUs later in the year.

3DCenter has published another of its 3-week analysis reports of the GPU market in Europe. According to the latest entry, the average price of an AMD GPU has dropped 8% below MSRP for the first time. Nvidia boards, while not under MSRP yet, have also witnessed a sharp price decline.

New AMD Ryzen 7000 leaks have detailed the potential launch line-up for the upcoming Zen 4 desktop parts, a possible release date, and even a supposed price tag for the top-end Ryzen 9 7950X. It seems there won’t be an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X at launch time, with the series arguably emulating the Zen 3 Ryzen 5000 staggered release schedule.

The "Little Phoenix" is rumored to launch in late 2023 with Steam's second gen Deck handheld console. Apparently, it is a cut-down version of the "Phoenix" laptop processor that is scheduled to launch in early 2023, and the four Zen 4 cores with 8 threads plus the RDNA3 GPU it integrates should bring at least 50% improvements over the Van Gogh Zen 2 + RDNA2 version from Deck 1.
