Yesterday, we reported that the Ryzen 9 7950X had dropped below US$550, approximately two months after AMD launched the 16-core processor for US$699. However, Amazon has also reduced other members of the Ryzen 7000 series, as well as the core members of the Ryzen 5000 desktop series and even the Ryzen 5 4600G.
Available at 17% to 49% discounts depending on the model chosen, all processors come with at least a US$50 saving. For example, Amazon has reduced the Ryzen 5 4600G to US$99.97, down from US$154, while the Ryzen 5 7600X is now US$248.99 compared to its US$299 MSRP. Alternatively, Amazon is charging US$348.99 and US$439.99 for the Ryzen 7 7700X and Ryzen 9 7900X, respectively, rather than AMD’s MSRPs of US$449 and US$549.
The Ryzen 5000 series has received the greatest discounts, with the Ryzen 5 5600X and Ryzen 7 5800X available at almost half price. Specifically, the Ryzen 5 5600X currently costs US$158.98, a 49% reduction from its US$309 MSRP. Likewise, Amazon has listed the Ryzen 7 5800X for US$229, the same percentage reduction from its US$449 list price. Finally, there is the Ryzen 9 5900X, which is now 40% cheaper at US$341.48.
