Gigabyte has certified numerous new graphics cards with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Russia. While not all products registered with the EEC come to market, graphics card manufacturers tend to certify model names with the intention of releasing them in Europe. For example, Gigabyte has registered numerous Radeon RX 7900 XT and the Radeon RX 7900 XTX models, with Aorus Elite, Gaming and Gaming OC series all mentioned. The company’s other series, like Aero, Aorus Master and Aorus Xtreme are missing from the filings, which may coincide with all these being Gigabyte’s higher-end series.
In that vein, there are also references to AMD reference models for both Radeon RX 7900 XT and Radeon RX 7900 XTX cards. With custom cards due to arrive after AMD reference models on December 13, the listings suggest board partners will have at least some SKUs ready for launch day. Incidentally, AMD recently compared its two latest graphics cards with the GeForce RTX 4080, originally called the GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB, before NVIDIA cancelled the 12 GB model of the same name.
Gigabyte has also certified several variants of unreleased graphics cards, too. Shown below, the company has registered names for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, the expected re-brand of the RTX 4080 12 GB. Although the EEC listing does not confirm many details, it does reveal that the RTX 4070 Ti retains its predecessor’s 12 GB of VRAM. Currently, the RTX 4070 Ti is expected to arrive on January 3 2023, likely during CES 2023 in Las Vegas.
