AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX video cards now available on eBay for over US$2,000

Unsurprisingly, the brand-new AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT and Radeon RX 7900 XTX are nearly impossible to find at the official launch prices of US$899 and US$999. While most custom designs based on AMD's reference cards have list prices of less than US$1,500, they are already listed on eBay for at least 30-40% more. Sadly, most retailers that sell these cards for less have none left, so those who want to get one as soon as possible can only bid higher than the current price, go for the "Buy It Now" price, or try to haggle with the seller for a more reasonable price tag.

Right now, the most interesting eBay listing of a RX 7900 XTX is that of a limited edition card, namely the PowerColor Red Devil 7900 XTX. Coming from a 1,500-unit limited run, this card arrives in a custom retail box and there's a single US$5,000 bid on it right now.

Leaving the unicorn above aside, these are some other custom video cards based on the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and their current eBay pricing/auction details:

In addition to the above, it looks like another PowerColor Red Devil RX 7900 XTX is listed with a "Buy It Now" price of US$2,200 and no bids yet.

If the aforementioned prices seem high, things aren't great for NVIDIA fans, either. For example, a used MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming Trio card is listed in an auction that will close in more than 4 days. After 17 bids, its price has reached US$2,000.

Considering all the above, it looks like it will be hard for gamers who want a high-end video card as one of their winter holiday presents to fulfill their wish. On Amazon, for example, there are many RX 7900 XTX products listed with a "Currently Unavailable" status and no "Back in Stock" date.
