Dell G5 15 5590

83% Dell G5 15 5590 Laptop Review: 15-inch gaming notebook with a Max-Q GPU

Much better than the entry-level version. Quite recently we reviewed a very well-priced version of the Dell G5 15 5590 that had a Core i5-9300H and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650. But now we are taking a look at a more expensive model that features the Core i7-9750H and the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q and costs 2000 Euros (~$2229). Read our review to find out if spending an extra 1000 Euros (~$1115) makes any sense.

Medium performance for a high price. The Zephyrus M GU502GU starts at the same price as the Razer Blade 15 with the same CPU, GPU, and 144 Hz display. Does a laptop with both the Core i7-1065G7 Iris Plus and GeForce MX250 make sense for gaming? We give our early thoughts

You'll probably want to stick to the GeForce MX150/MX250 over the Iris Plus if you want to game. Though they may be close on paper, Nvidia GPUs benefit greatly from having more frequent driver updates and a dedicated pool of resources and they are just simply more reliable and predictable in their performances. Intel is going to have to step it up in terms of driver support if it wants to compete against the low-power Radeon Vega RX series or the GeForce MX series.
