Nvidia's GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER distances itself from AMD's Radeon 5700 XT in leaked Mindfactory GPU sales data

Recent GPU retail sales data from Mindfactory has been shared online by TechEpiphany. Although the data stems from a single retailer, it does offer a representative snapshot of how the GPU market is changing and which company is currently benefitting the most from user confidence. Nvidia soaked up the most sales for the week, capturing 69.69% of the sales share compared to AMD’s 30.31%.

Yet again, it appears that AMD has let the GPU market slip below its sights while the company has concentrated on making big waves in the CPU market. Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER card is the sales champion, shifting 740 units compared to the 370 of AMD’s Radeon 5700 XT. This is quite a change from a previous week’s report that had the Nvidia GPU on 665 sales and the AMD GPU on a much more competitive 530 sales.

When we reviewed the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT card back in 2019, we were concerned about heating issues, and a recent report about Asus blaming AMD for overheating cards has likely exacerbated the worries some users may have in regard to potentially purchasing this particular graphics solution. The GeForce GTX 1660 and GeForce RTX 2060 also made strong showings in the sales data, with Nvidia still clearly ahead of Team Red in this highly competitive industry.
