We've been hearing that the i9-10900K needs really good water cooling solutions, so the inclusion of suck chips inside Origin PC's latest EON17-X and NS-17 models is quite the bold endeavor. The powerful CPUs can be coupled with a desktop-grade RTX 2080 Super GPU and up to 64 GB of DDR-3200 RAM, if you have some more money to spare.

Dell has been updating some of its country-specific online stores with refreshed Inspiron 15 7000 series laptops. The Dell Inspiron 15 7501 has attractive configuration options that include Intel Comet Lake SoCs and Nvidia GeForce GTX 16-series dGPUs. However, those hoping to find an AMD Ryzen 4000 APU in this particular laptop will be disappointed.

Unlike Turing and previous iterations, the Ampere microarchitecture will be the same for HPC GPUs like the newly announced A100 model, as well as for consumer-grade GeForce gaming GPUs and Quadro professional GPUs. Some downscaling will clearly be applied to the consumer products, but there should be "great overlap in the architecture" for all product lineups.

Dell is now making the G5 15 laptop available at prices starting from US$829.99. The G5 15 can be availed in Intel and AMD options. While the AMD-based Dell G5 15 SE 5505 has the distinction of being the first Ryzen 4000 + Navi 10 combination, the Intel SKUs offer more customizability in terms of GPU options, chassis lighting, and faster Ethernet.

Dell has upgraded the entry-level G3 15 laptop with 10th gen Intel H-series CPUs and GPU options up to the RTX 2060. The Dell G3 15 3500 now also comes with an optional 144 Hz display and an optional 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard. The G3 15 3500 will be available from May 21 at prices starting from US$779.99.

Alienware has updated their popular m15 and m17 gaming laptops to revision 3 (R3), giving them the requisite upgrade to Intel’s 10th gen processors. They also boast several new features which help keep Alienware at the forefront of enthusiast gaming laptops.

The Dell XPS 17 9700 is a return to the 17-inch market for the XPS series, and it packs a punch. Featuring up to a Core i9-10885H processor, 64 GB of DDR4 RAM, a 4 TB SSD, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, the XPS 17 9700 is a big upgrade over the XPS 15 7590. Starting at US$1,499.99, the XPS 17 9700 features Dell's latest advanced cooling features too and retain the 97 Wh battery of previous XPS 15 models.

The Alienware Area-51m R2 is here, and it is not an all Intel and NVIDIA affair. Sporting up to a Core i9-10900K processor, Dell has equipped the Area-51m R2 with an array of NVIDIA GPUs and even an AMD Radeon RX 5700M. Complemented with up to 64 GB of RAM, 4 TB of SSD storage and a 300 Hz IPS display, the Area-51m R2 will be available from June 9 starting at US$3,049.99.

NVIDIA is hyping up its GTC 2020 keynote by getting its CEO to literally pull a graphics card from an oven. Dubbed the "world's largest graphics card", the system is the first to be based on NVIDIA's upcoming Ampere architecture.

Dell China has jumped the gun and has listed the XPS 15 9500 early. Starting at CNY 10,999 (~US$1,549), the XPS 15 9500 will come with minuscule bezels, modern internal components and even an Arctic White version.

New information pertaining to NVIDIA's upcoming Ampere architecture was revealed by Tom from the YouTube channel Moore's Law is Dead claiming to have access to insider sources associated with the launch. As per the sources, Turing is just a guinea pig experiment with Ampere expected to offer a 10-20% IPC increase, 4x the ray tracing performance, and clocks that can be easily pushed to 2 GHz. Steam has released its hardware and software survey for April 2020. Taking a look at the chart for PC video card usage by % change this month clearly shows that it’s not just sales or new releases affecting positions. AMD has two products in the top four movers alone, with the Radeon R7 M445 and Radeon RX 5700 XT gaining strong % changes.

Due to be unveiled later today, the Surface Book 3 has been confirmed to be arriving with a choice of at least three GPUs. The Surface Book 3 will be an all Intel and NVIDIA affair though, with no AMD APUs or GPUs making their way into Microsoft's premier Surface hardware.

Asus has added a new pre-built gaming desktop PC to its lineup in the form of the ROG Strix GT35. The device can be fitted with a Comet Lake-S processor up to the Intel Core i9-10900KF and can be configured with one of numerous high-powered graphics cards from Nvidia, including the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB.

Even though Asus has not yet announced this, the slim Zephyrus M gaming laptops will get updated with Comet Lake-H CPUs as suggested by a product description spotted in the Icecat database. The upgraded models will most likely come equipped with the refreshed RTX 2070 GPUs, as well.

MSI is updating the high-end Trident X lineup of slim gaming desktops with CPU options like the i7-10700K(F) and i9-10900K. Users can also choose among RTX 2070 Super and RTX 2080 Ti GPUs, 32 and 64 GB of RAM and may opt for a 1 TB NVMe SSD or an 1 TB NVMe SSD + 1 TB HDD combo storage solution. Other noteworthy features include 2.5 GbE + Wi-Fi 6 and Thunderbolt 3.

With the Intel 10th gen models on the way, now would be a great time to consider the Intel 9th gen models instead. Razer is cutting prices on last year's models if the marginally improved CPU and GPU upgrades don't interest you.

Visually, the MSI GS66 Stealth offers a very subdued and tasteful impression. But as soon as you turn on the device, the fans quickly make themselves heard.

A trademark entry for an NVIDIA deep learning workstation called the DGX A100 has surfaced. The DGX A100 could feature anywhere from eight to 16 of the upcoming GA100 Ampere GPUs with 8,192 CUDA cores. NVIDIA is expected to talk more about Ampere during its rescheduled GTC 2020 keynote on May 14.

Intel's Raja Koduri recently tweeted that the company's main focus is on integrated graphics, quashing hopes that high-performance Intel Xe GPUs will compete with the RTX 2080 Ti and second-gen Navi cards this year.

Announced to be available in May, the Lenovo Legion 5 with AMD CPUs (as well as Intel processors) is already orderable now at the tail end of April.

It looks like Lenovo is planning to refresh its ThinkPad workstations with Comet Lake-H processors. Paired with a Quadro RTX 3000 GPU, the Core i9-10885H powered device is likely either a successor to the ThinkPad P53 or ThinkPad P73.

A 3DMark Time Spy entry of a Clevo notebook powered by the unusual Intel CC150 processor and an NVIDIA RTX 2080 GPU shows that this combination scores somewhere between a Core i7-9750H and a Core i9-9900K. This is the first time the CC150 processor, which is otherwise thought to feature in GeForce Now servers, is being seen in a notebook.

Apparently launching in Q4 2020, the proposed specifications for the RTX 3080 Ti would make it significantly more powerful than any current consumer desktop GPU. The RTX 3080, RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 do not seem half bad either, though.

45 W Renoir processors are heading to this year's HP OMEN 15, as are multiple NVIDIA GPUs and a complete redesign. Sporting up to a Ryzen 7 4800H and RTX 2060, the HP OMEN 15-en0xxx may give the Zephyrus G14 a run for its money.

A report by China Times indicates that Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte-leading Taiwanese OEMs-are all trying to clear their inventory of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 series Turing cards to make way for the arrival of the RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 in Q3 2020.
