Who needs GeForce Super when a regular Max-Q can run just as fast? The GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q in the latest Razer Blade Pro 17 runs over 20 percent faster than the average laptop equipped with the exact same GPU.

The OctaneBench results posted by OTOY CEO Jules Urbach show that the A100 GPU is ~40% faster than the RTX 2080 Ti. However, the GA100 (and all of its versions featured in the RTX 3000 GPUs) is a cut-down version of the A100, so performance gains for the RTX 3080 Ti may only be around 30%. Urbach notes that results were recorded without RTX on, so there could be some minor gains when the ray tracing cores are activated.

Dell has launched the Alienware M15 R3, G5 15 Special Edition, G5 15, and G3 15 gaming laptops in India. The laptops can be configured with a variety of Intel and AMD hardware. The Alienware M15 R3's price starts at a whopping INR 1,99,990 (US$2,673), while the Dell G5 15 Special Edition retails at INR 74,990 (US$1000). Many users have been asking why OEMs are not providing dGPU options above the RTX 2060 for the Ryzen 4000H laptops. A rather peculiar NVIDIA GPU has made its way to the Geekbench 5 OpenCL benchmark. Dell launched a new XPS desktop today. The desktop can be configured with high-end specs like a 10th Gen Intel Core i9 CPU and either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super or AMD Radeon RX 5700XT. The desktop is also designed to be upgraded by the end-user.

A Geekbench 4 OpenCL benchmark surfaced last week pitting the Tiger Lake Core i7-1165G7 against the NVIDIA GeForce MX350. The Gen12 Xe iGPU in Tiger Lake manages to not only put up a convincing performance but also beats the MX350 in the test. We also get to see that the 80 EU Core i5-1135G7 is about 13.5% slower than a Core i7-1165G7 in the same benchmark.

NVIDIA and its partners are continuing to release TU106 and TU116 versions of the GeForce GTX 1650. At least three new partners have now released new GTX GeForce 1650 models. All include the Turing NVENC encoder, which promises to encode videos up to 15% more efficiently while minimising artefacts.
