GMKtec has introduced the NucBox 8, a 119 x 119 x 24.5 mm mini-PC powered by the Intel Celeron N4100. Available for US$139.59, the GMKtec NucBox 8 also has 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and plenty of I/O.

Intel is planning to release the first batch of Raptor Lake mobile CPUs before 2023 rolls around. Leaker @momomo_us believes that the company is working on at least four Raptor Lake-H mobile SKUs, including two processors that are making their maiden appearance.

The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X has been unceremoniously dumped outside the top 10 best-performing processors in UserBenchmark’s average bench chart. While the much-praised Intel Core i9-13900K sits at the top, the Zen 4 part has to settle for a lowly position behind the i7-12700K, despite seemingly scoring much higher test marks than the Alder Lake chip.

After a successful crowdfunding campaign, One-netbook has started selling its Surface Pro 9 competitor again. Available with the Core i5-1240P or the Core i7-1260P, the OneNetbook T1 also comes with 16 GB of RAM and up to 2 TB of storage.

Extreme overclocker Elmor has successfully pushed an Intel Core i9-13900K CPU to 8.8 GHz on a single core, effectively smashing the AMD FX-8370's record of 8.7 GHz. The test rig used an Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard and 32 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM.

Intel has taken the single-thread spoils in an interesting high-end processor clash on PassMark. The site now has entries for many Raptor Lake and Zen 4 parts, and on the surface it appears that the Intel Core i9-13900KF is the chip to beat. But while the i9-13900KF easily snagged the single-thread crown, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X still packs multiple benefits.

Intel showed off a prototype of the next generation of its Thunderbolt standard. The as-of-yet-unnamed next-gen Thunderbolt doubles the bandwidth of Thunderbolt 4 while providing bandwidth of up to 120 Gbps for displays. The new Thunderbolt version supports the latest version of USB4 and DisplayPort 2.1.

Besides revealing the advantages of the Intel Arc A770, the AV1 8K decoding test performed through the CapFrameX tool also exposes some unexpected optimization problems with the Nvidia RTX 4090, as well as some perplexingly low scores coming from AMD's RX 6800 XT card.

Although the Intel Core i9-13900KF processor is known for reaching clock speeds in excess of 6 GHz, this happens when high-end Z690 and Z790 chipsets are used. Shuttle has announced the XPC Slim DH610 and XPC Slim DH610S, a pair of mini-PCs based on current-generation Intel Alder Lake hardware. Sold as barebones units, the pair differ in a few areas, although they share more similarities than differences.

Microsoft has presented the Surface Pro 9, a new take on the Surface Pro series. Equipped with either the Core i5-1235U or the Core i7-1255U, the Surface Pro 9 is available in four colours, up to 1 TB of storage and 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Prices start at US$999, while pre-orders will begin shipping from October 25 in the US.

Dell has launched a new rugged tablet for use in extreme environments. Key Latitude 7230 Rugged Extreme specs include a 12-inch screen, two hot-swappable 36.5 Wh batteries, Intel Alder Lake processors and two configurable ports.

New Blender benchmark results of the Intel Raptor Lake and AMD Zen 4 processors have surfaced, allowing us to pit Team Blue and Team Red against each other. The comparison proves quite well for the Intel Raptor Lake chips as they cost less than their AMD counterparts.

This year's Alienware x15 R2 is virtually indistinguishable from its predecessor but offers welcome internal upgrades that perform on par with the competition. The thin chassis results in higher emissions and Dell could further improve a few aspects as well, but the x15 R2 indeed comes across as a highly capable gaming laptop in our detailed review.

The HP Omen 17 shows what the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and the Intel Core i7 12700 H bring to the table in terms of performance. But not only the internals are of importance: the exterior of the gaming laptop is not very well designed for the European market.

Intel launched the 13th gen Raptor Lake chips recently at prices that compete very favorably with the AMD Zen 4 CPUs. Serial leaker Tom from the Moore’s Law is Dead YouTube channel alleges that the Raptor Lake CPUs have significantly reduced profit margins for the retailers than the Zen 4 chips, allowing Intel to price the processors as it did.

Some of the specs like the 16-inch QHD screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and the entire port selection come from the IdeaPad 5i Chromebook launched a month ago. Gamer-oriented specs include an RGB keyboard, a distinctive design on the aluminum lid, quad-speakers and a Core i5-1235U processor. The missing dGPU suggests this would be a game streaming system.

Intel's upcoming Core i9-13900KS processor scored 928 and 18,453 in CPU-Z's single and multi-core tests, respectively, effectively making it the fastest consumer desktop CPU on the market. Intel claims that it can boost to 6.0 GHz out of the box without overclocking.

Available with both Intel and AMD processors, the StarFighter Linux laptop from Star Labs will be up for pre-orders in less than three weeks. Sadly, with prices from US$900 to US$3,000, interesting hardware specs overall, and quite a few configurations, this laptop comes with non-upgradeable memory.

CPU options include the 15 W i5-1235U, i3-1215U and Celeron 7305 models from Intel. The Mars ADL mini PCs feature a Thunderbolt 4 connector and an SD card reader, as well as a proprietary cooling system that allows these processors to run at boost clocks in 55 W mode for a longer period.

The Intel Core i9-13900K, Core i7-13700K and Core i5-13600K are now official along with their KF variants. They will hit shelves on October 20 starting at US$296 for the i5, US$384 for the i7 and US$564 for the i9.

Intel has announced that the Arc A770 desktop graphics card will be available to purchase on October 12 for US$329, presumably for the entry-level variant with 8 GB of VRAM. Its sibling with 16 GB of memory may cost a bit more.

Intel's upcoming Raptor Lake-H mobile parts have made their first appearance on Geekbench. The Core i7-13700H and the Core i9-13900HK were spotted running on a pre-production Samsung laptop. The cache specifications seem to suggest a similar configuration to that of Alder Lake-H. Accordingly, we see only minor single-core gains and similar multi-core figures with Raptor Lake-H parts when compared to their Alder Lake-H predecessors.

The US$659.99 i9-13900K may be the first flagship CPU to launch with a lower MSRP compared to AMD's direct competitor. This does not apply to the i5-13600K and i7-13700K models, however, as they appear to be a bit more expensive than AMD's counterparts.

Lots of new features in Lenovo's ThinkPad T16 G1: a 16-inch 16:10 low-power display, a large 86 Wh battery and carbon fiber like in the ThinkPad T14s, to name a few. In contrast, the keyboard now has a travel of 1.5 mm.

A powerful run by the Intel Core i9-13900K on PassMark’s desktop CPU single-thread performance chart has signposted an upcoming colossal battle between the Raptor Lake chip and Zen 4’s best: the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X. The i9-13900K took a commanding lead in the chart and was measured reaching up to 5.8 GHz.

The 16-inch model appears to be the same as the European one powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 5825U APU along with 16 GB LPDDR4 and up to 1 TB NVMe SSD storage. For the Best Buy exclusive 17-inch model, LG is offering an Intel Core i7-1260P processor coupled with an RTX 3050 Ti DGPU and 16 GB DDR5 RAM plus 512 GB PCIe 4.0 storage.

Intel Fellow Tom Petersen revealed in a HotHardware Q&A session that the Arc A770 flagship desktop GPU can be overclocked from 2.1 to 2.7 GHz on air with relative ease, and AIB partner custom models could get an even higher OC potential. The more powerful spec only required 3 more W over the default 225 W TBP.

Information regarding the Intel Raptor Lake processors has been steadily leaking out over the past months. We have now seen the Core i9-13900K, the Core i7-13700KF, and the Core i5-13600K visit Geekbench for valid single-core and multi-core tests. This time a Core i5-13600KF has appeared on Geekbench giving us our first look at the chip’s alleged performance profile.

The USB4 2.0 specs may have been approved a few weeks ago, but Intel is already demoing working Thunderbolt connectors with 80 Gbps bandwidth.

The Arc A380 beats Nvidia's GTX 1650 in 3DMark tests, and provides good video encoding / decoding capabilities, but does not seem to be specifically designed for gaming, as it is slower in titles such as Final Fantasy XIV.

The entry-level Intel Core i5-13500 and Core i5-13400 have been benchmarked on PassMark. The former trades blows with the Core i7-12700, and the latter is almost as fast as the Core i5-12600K.

Intel has accidentally confirmed a couple of key details regarding the Raptor Lake processors. Adding to this, an official SKU chart for the 13th gen processors has surfaced that details almost everything about the upcoming CPUs. Per the chart, Intel is planning to release six Raptor Lake chips.

The Intel Core i7-13700T has shown up on Geekbench. The sixteen-core, twenty-four-thread processor scored 1,939 and 11,564 on the single and multi-core tests, respectively. Its base/boost clocks are set at 1.4/4.78 GHz.
