Microsoft managed to issue a fix for the Windows 11 / Windows Server 2022 encryption vulnerability that makes use of the Vector Advanced Encryption Standard, but the patch is impacting CPU performance. The Core i9-13900K shows perceivable improvements in single-core performance over the Core i9-12900K. The Raptor Lake behemoth is also able to leave the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and the Ryzen 7 5800X far behind in both benchmarks, but the real deal lies in massive multi-core uplifts over these processors.

One of Intel's next-generation mini-PCs has emerged online in four retailer listings. To be sold as the NUC 12 Enthusiast but codenamed Serpent Canyon, the mini-PC series will be available with a choice of Intel Arc Graphics discrete GPUs. Prices could reach nearly US$1,500 for some configurations though, and may not start at less than US$1,000.
