At today's "AI Everywhere" conference, Intel is expected to present the new Intel Core Ultra mobile processors of the Meteor Lake generation. However, Microsoft has already accidentally leaked the names of all models in a support document.

The new mobile CPUs based on the Meteor Lake architecture were only supposed to be announced at today's Intel conference "AI Everywhere" at 4 p.m. But the well-known leaker @momomo_us has now published a list of all upcoming Intel Core Ultra series mobile processors via the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Microsoft leaks unreleased Intel CPUs in support document

Ironically, the screenshot of the leaker comes from a Microsoft website which lists all compatible processors for Windows 11 versions 22H2 and 23H2. The following unreleased mobile Intel CPUs with the name "Core Ultra" appear in the Windows support document:

  • Intel Core Ultra 5 processor 125H
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 processor 125U
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 processor 134U
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 processor 135H
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 processor 135U
  • Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 155H
  • Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 155U
  • Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 164U
  • Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 165H
  • Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 165U
  • Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 185H

The Microsoft support website also lists the three as yet unreleased Intel Core CPUs Core 3 100U, Core 5 120U, and Core 7 150U, which will apparently be based on the Raptor Lake Refresh. The Redmond giant also accidentally lists several desktop CPUs from the Intel Core 14000 series that have not yet been officially released in the document.

New naming scheme, AI functions, and chiplet design for Meteor Lake

With the new generation, Intel is dividing its mobile processors into three groups for the first time: High-end CPUs are called "Core Ultra" mid-range processors are called "Core" and entry-level CPUs no longer carry the suffix "Core". Apparently, however, not all mobile CPUs will use the Meteor Lake microarchitecture; some CPUs that are not called "Core Ultra" will also use the Raptor Lake Refresh.

The new Intel architecture is the first to use a chiplet design and, in addition to the already familiar P-cores ("Performance") and E-cores ("Efficiency"), also includes AI functions for the first time using a so-called NPU (Neural Processing Unit). The NPU is designed to work more efficiently than the CPU for AI workloads and supports DirectML from Microsoft.
