An early sighting of the POCO M6 5G has surfaced online. Seemingly, the upcoming POCO smartphone will be another Xiaomi Redmi by another name, this time powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset.

Developer turned leaker Kacper Skrzypek has shed light on additional availability of the Redmi 13C 5G. For context, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi 13C 5G last week as a more premium alternative to the Redmi 13C, itself a re-branded POCO C65. Subsequently, the company revealed the Redmi 13C 5G in China as the Redmi 13R with identical hardware.

According to Skrzypek's findings within MIUI code, Xiaomi intends to offer the Redmi 13C 5G as the POCO M6 5G too. Surprisingly, MIUI code suggests that Xiaomi will sell the POCO M6 5G in India, despite the presence of the Redmi 13C 5G in the region. Conversely, there is already evidence that Xiaomi has created a POCO M6 Pro 4G for global distribution.

Although its specifications remain unknown for now, the POCO M6 5G will combine a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset with a 90 Hz display, a 5,000 mAh battery and a 50 MP primary camera. Unfortunately, it is unclear at this stage whether the POCO M6 5G will be available globally or when Xiaomi will launch the handset in India. Incidentally, details about the POCO X6 5G and POCO X6 Pro 5G recently surfaced online too, again as re-branded Redmi smartphones.
