Redmi 13C 5G debuts in China as an affordable 5G device with solid specs
After debuting the Redmi 13C globally last month, and the Redmi 13C 5G in India a few weeks ago, Xiaomi has now also released the Redmi 13C 5G in its home market of China, with the entry-level phone representing a 5G-capable, affordable device for the masses.
For one, the Redmi 13C 5G sports a 6.74-inch LCD with a water-drop notch. That screen offers a 90 Hz refresh rate, 180 Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Beneath the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+, a far superior chipset to the almost four-year-old Helio G85 on the standard Redmi 13C. Onboard is up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage and 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The vanilla Redmi 13C was saddled with eMMC 5.1 storage, for example.
Other specifications of the Redmi 13C 5G include a 50 MP main camera, 5 MP selfie camera, 5000 mAh battery, 18 W charging, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, SD card support, and MIUI 14.
Pricing is as follows:
- 4 + 128 GB: CNY 749 ($106)
- 6 + 128 GB: CNY 849 ($120)
- 8 + 256 GB: CNY 1,049 ($148)
