Xiaomi has introduced yet another Redmi handset, two days after debuting the Redmi 13C 5G in India. Additionally, the company recently teased the global launch of the Redmi Note 13 series, which followed the Chinese releases of the Redmi K70, Redmi K70E and Redmi K70 Pro.
As GSMArena notes, it appears that the Redmi 13R is effectively a Redmi 13C 5G by another name. Consequently, the former combines a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset with a 5,000 mAh battery and a 6.74-inch display. Also, the latter still outputs at 1,600 x 720 pixels with a 90 Hz refresh rate, 450 nits typical brightness and an 83.8% screen-to-body ratio within a 168.1 x 77.9 x 8.2 mm and 195 g housing.
Moreover, the Redmi 13R has 50 MP primary, 2 MP auxiliary and 5 MP front-facing cameras but only a single 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage option. By contrast, Xiaomi offers the Redmi 13C 5G in two higher capacity options culminating in 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Arguably, the Redmi 13R has a more eye-catching back panel than its Redmi 13C 5G counterpart, with sparkly finishes applied to its Star Rock Black, Water Wave Green and Fantasy Purple colour options.
