The Xbox Series X may be "the world's most powerful console" with a near-endless choice of games thanks to Xbox Game Pass. However, it uses a proprietary storage expansion, which is easier to install than a PS5 SSD. But, the convenience comes at a hefty price. Thankfully, those looking to expand the storage on their Xbox Series S|X consoles can grab a discounted storage solution from Seagate.

The 1 TB drive can now be purchased via Best Buy and Amazon for $150, $70 cheaper than its asking price of $220. Similarly, the top-spec 2 TB model has also received a $120 discount, bringing its price down to just $280. The only other alternative is to shuttle games between a much slower external USB hard drive and the Xbox, which can be time-consuming.

Game of the Year winner Baldur's Gate 3 weighs in at around 122 GB on the Xbox Series X. Similarly, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes up 134 GB and to nobody's surprise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III hogs a full 200 GB on the platform. Modern-day AAA games are ballooning in size, and the situation will only get worse as time passes.
