MINIX Z100 brings fast networking support in a fanless design

There has been a good number of Intel Alder Lake-N mini PC releases in the past few weeks. For most of them, it’s all about offering silent operation, and the MINIX Z100 isn’t different in that regard.

Measuring 123 x 120 x 46 mm, the MINIX Z100 mini PC flaunts a fanless design that makes it operate at 0 dB noise. Under the hood, the system comes with an Intel N100 CPU, which features four cores and four threads. It’s paired with Intel UHD iGPU to handle video rendering needs.

Besides offering silent operation, the Z100 mini PC is equipped to deliver fast networking. It packs WiFi 6 and has a 2.5 GbE Ethernet port, making it suitable for setups requiring high bandwidth. This tiny computer also comes with two removable antennas, which help to boost the wireless signal.

When it comes to the ports, the MINIX Z100 mini PC has two HDMI 2.1, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Type-A, two USB 2.0 Type-A, and one 3.5 mm audio jack.

Other features of the Z100 mini PC include up to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and 4 TB of storage support. As for the pricing, the variant with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is up for pre-orders at $286 on GeekBuying, and it’s not available on other major retailers yet. However, you can find the Asus ExpertCenter PN42 with pretty much the same specs and a fanless design for $220 on Amazon.
