Aoostar Pro previewed as new mini-PC and NAS with AMD and Intel processor options
Aoostar has announced another network attached storage (NAS) product. Like the R1 and R7 before it, the Aoostar Pro doubles as a mini-PC thanks to its relatively modern processors and Windows 11 Pro installation. Specifically, Aoostar plans to offer the NAS with the AMD Ryzen 7 5700U, Processor N100 and Core i3-N305. For reference, the Ryzen 7 5700U will be the most powerful of the three but also the least efficient.
As the image above shows, the Aoostar Pro contains four drive slots that support 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch HDDs or SSDs. Additionally, Aoostar has integrated M.2 storage, with one slot for Intel models and two slots for their AMD counterpart. Also, it is worth noting that while all machines will offer DDR4-3200 RAM, only the AMD edition will utilise dual-channel memory.
Moreover, all SKUs will feature a pair of 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet connections and five USB ports, as well as single DisplayPort and HDMI video outputs. Currently, Aoostar has only confirmed that the Pro will be available in January 2024, which is when it should also reveal pricing information. Incidentally, the company recently introduced a six-bay NAS option, which we have covered separately.
