MediaTek is found to have taken its biggest share of the mobile SoC market ever for the second quarter of 2021

Counterpoint Research has announced the results of its analysis of the smartphone processor market during the second quarter of 2021 (2Q2021). They indicate that MediaTek "dominated" the space for those 3 months, taking a share of over 40% for the first time. On the other hand, Qualcomm did well out of the 5G baseband sector, thanks to iPhone sales.
