Latest Apple A16 Bionic benchmarks show a 28% GPU performance boost over the A15 Bionic
Apple's new A16 Bionic has already made a few trips to the Geekbench website where it has demonstrated its formidable CPU capabilities. The chipset demonstrated about a 40% single-core advantage over the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 on that benchmark, and has now been tested on AnTuTu as well, with some rather impressive results.
As shared by AnTuTu on its official Weibo handle, the A16 Bionic on the iPhone 14 Pro earns an overall score of 978,147. AnTuTu's individual tests are a lot more informative, however, and the A16 nets an impressive score of 246,572 in the CPU test. In the GPU department, it makes away with a result of 408,723. Comparatively, the A15 Bionic on the iPhone 13 Pro Max scores 214,394 and 318,962 in the CPU and GPU tests respectively.
Those figures translate into a 15% CPU advantage for the A16 Bionic, corroborating prior CPU benchmark numbers. In the GPU test, however, the A16 Bionic demonstrates around a 28% jump in performance versus the A15 Bionic on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. That also happens to be the same SoC on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
