Fancy iPhone 14 Pro colors shown in new dummy pictures, video illustrates 'color-changing' finish ↺
The official reveal and subsequent release of Apple's highly anticipated iPhone 14 series is right around the corner, and thanks to a plethora of fairly plausible leaks and rumors, fans of the Cupertino-based tech behemoth already know what to expect from these new flagship smartphones. However, prospective buyers of the iPhone 14 Pro might be particularly interested in this year's color choices, which have now been illustrated in a new dummy picture and video.
The image in question is apparently based on a leak from the Chinese social network Weibo, which is where Apple's alleged color card for the iPhone 14 Pro devices has been unveiled. Unsurprisingly, an impatient leaker has quickly followed suit by producing five beautiful iPhone 14 Pro Max dummies in these colors, which look quite a bit different in comparison to a bunch of sublime render images that were released just last month. While the silver, grey and gold colors probably won't knock anybody's socks off, the gorgeous blue and purple iPhone 14 Pro dummies look quite dashing.
However, another iPhone 14 Pro dummy video that has also been shared on Weibo suggests that these new blue and purple colors won't actually be released as two different color variants. Instead, the flagship smartphone could sport a special type of finish that makes the iPhone 14 Pro look either blue or purple, depending on the angle from which it is looked at. As always, such rumors should be taken with a significant grain of salt, but it certainly makes sense that Apple would offer the iPhone 14 Pro in an eye-catching new color that would visually differentiate it from the previous generation, especially since the technical upgrades are expected to be rather incremental this year.
The iPhone 14 is expected to be unveiled at Apple's 'Far Out' keynote launch event on September 7, and according to a recent rumor, the eventual release could be scheduled for September 16. Furthermore, prospective buyers of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in particular may also have to absorb higher starting prices in some markets around the world.
