The designs of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max have been seemingly set in stone for months now, despite Apple not offering any official glimpses of its next smartphone generation yet. However, through numerous leaks and rumors, it’s now pretty much accepted that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will have notched displays while the Pro models will have a pill and punch-hole cut-out that conveniently looks like an “i” for "iPhone" when turned on its side.
However, iPhone fans have only been offered concept renderings and drawings to imagine how this design will look on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, until now. Noted leaker Ice universe has posted an image of an Apple iPhone 14 Pro screen protector and many commenters have immediately focused on two aspects of the “i” hole: what will happen in the gap between the pill and punch-hole, and just how big the cutout looks (despite taking up considerably less screen real estate than a notch).
The other obvious takeaway to be had from the image of the iPhone 14 Pro screen protector is the size of its bezels, which are very narrow. While the protector’s edges might not fully accurately represent the final design of the iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro, it is believed that there will be a noteworthy reduction in size from the bezels of the iPhone 13 range (iPhone 13 Pro Max: 2.42 mm; iPhone 14 Pro Max: 1.95 mm). This has been previously demonstrated with multiple iPhone 14 dummy units that have been floating around social media as of late.
