Indian startup promises 10-minute deliveries for the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max ↺
Elated fans worldwide are receiving their pre-ordered iPhone 14 phones worldwide. While the shipping period has been delayed for some models such as the iPhone 14 Plus, others are already available for purchase. Some regions, however, have a wait time of weeks, especially in India. An Indian startup called Blinkit, known for sub-10-minute grocery delivery has decided to diversify its portfolio.
The company has now announced that it will deliver an iPhone 14 to your doorstep in that time. However, only users in a handful of PIN codes in Mumbai and Delhi can avail of the offer. The company has partnered with Apple reseller Unicorninfosolutions for the endeavour. That alone will limit the availability, as the store has only 33 locations in India. Nonetheless, it is a decent alternative for those who want to day-one their iPhone 14.
All three models, the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are up for grabs. Blinkit's iPhone 14 gimmick, unfortunately, might not help bolster iPhone 14 sales in the country. Even the vanilla iPhone 14 is prohibitively expensive at INR 79,990 (US$1,000), with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max retailing at INR 129,900 (US$1,630) and INR 139,900 (US$1,755), respectively. It is common for people to ask relatives returning from the United States to pick one up, but that could be a problem now, due to the lack of a physical SIM card on the US models.
