The OnePlus Nord was released a short while ago and it appears OnePlus has another mid-range smartphone in the pipes. A Snapdragon 690-powered OnePlus phone was spotted a few weeks ago, and a different such offering from the company has once again surfaced on a Geekbench listing.

Google has teased that it plans to launch the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 soon, and rumour has it that one of them will be featuring some impressive display technology. According to one respected informer, either the Pixel 4a 5G or Pixel 5 will have a 6.67-inch display that is capable of reaching 120 Hz. The devices will apparently launch within the next 2 months, too.

A consultant at DSCC claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will not be featuring an under-display camera, likely due to poor yields and possible compromises in terms of image quality. This could upset hopes of an “all display” Samsung flagship this year.

iQOO recently unveiled the next-gen 120 watt (W) version of its FlashCharge system for smartphones. Now, it has announced an August 2020 launch date for an entirely new line of mobile devices. One of these is likely to be the first to feature the ultra-fast new power tech.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series is slated to launch tomorrow (August 5, 2020); however, that has not stopped the flow of leaks for these premium phablets. One such last-ditch drip points to an 8GB RAM version of one. According to Geekbench 5, it runs on the Exynos 990 processor.

The DualShock 4 will work on the PlayStation 5 but only under certain conditions. More price placeholders have appeared and a tenuous source claims hardware revisions and SOCOM revival.

A couple of alleged PS5 State of Play leaks have appeared on a notorious imageboard. While both posts agree that the upcoming PlayStation event will feature Silent Hill and some more information about Spider-Man: Miles Morales, they differ on the date. One also claims that PlayStation 5 backwards compatibility details will also be shared.

The ability to jump straight from the PlayStation 5’s UI into instant gameplay has apparently been given a name: Activities. The function, which was previously mentioned by Mark Cerny in an interview with Wired last year, was described in further detail in a presentation for the future PS5 game WRC 9.

Optimistic commentator offers up a price tag of US$299 for the Digital Edition console as Sony potentially takes big losses. At least 120 million PlayStation 5 units are expected to be shipped in a five-year life cycle.

A report states that Micromax is working on three new smartphones for the Indian market. The devices will be unveiled sometime in September and will come with MediaTek chips. Prices will range between INR 7,000 (US$93) and INR 15,000 (US$200).

Although the promo image doesn’t specify what device is being marketed, the curved display certainly points to the TalkBand B6 fitness tracker and Bluetooth headset. New leaks have presented a look at the various screen sizes of the iPhone 12 sizes.
