The Black Shark brand is Xiaomi's answer to gaming phones such as those of Asus' ROG Phone and Nubia's RedMagic lines. It is projected to return in 2021 in 2 flavors: KSR-A0 (or Kaiser) and PRS-A0 (Penrose), one of which is to be called the 4 and the other the 4 Pro.
Thus far, only 1 of these (Penrose) has made it into credible leaks such as those from TENAA, which show the Black Shark 3-series' successor is destined for a 6.67-inch FHD+ display and a 4500mAh battery. It is also thought to launch with the Snapdragon 888 and up to 12GB of RAM, whereas Kaiser might content itself with the 870 instead.
Nevertheless, the 2 have been found to be equal in one important respect, at least, which is their new charging speeds. The upcoming new Black Sharks have now been registered by 3C with power standards that go all the way up to 20V/6A - or 120W.
Xiaomi ostensibly intends to deliver this with the MDY-12-ED power adapter, which also ships with the Mi 10 Ultra. This is a hopeful sign the Black Sharks 4 might also retail with this brick, rather than have consumers buy it separately.
However, despite this new leak, the upcoming Android gaming flagships still lack for official launch announcements. They now officially lag behind Asus and RedMagic in this respect: hopefully, Xiaomi will help them catch up soon.
