The next Black Shark gaming smartphone will not look as outlandish as its predecessors, according to new images published by the TENAA. The device, thought to be the Black Shark 4 Pro, retains the physical shoulder buttons of previous Black Shark smartphones, but with a simpler design.

The PRS-A0 has appeared online again, this time at the TENAA in China. Most recently, the device was seen on the Google Play Console, where it was also referred to by its codename, penrose. While the Google Play Console revealed just a small thumbnail of the PRS-A0, the TENAA shows the device from multiple angles.

In short, the PRS-A0, thought to be the Black Shark 4 Pro, looks more understated than past Black Shark smartphones. The PRS-A0 still has shoulder buttons like its predecessor, but it does not retain the flashy design of the Black Shark 3.

While the TENAA does not offer any specifications for the device, its listing does confirm that it will have four cameras, what looks like a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a subtle Black Shark logo on its brushed back panel.

Xiaomi is expected to equip the Black Shark 4 Pro with a Snapdragon 888, although the Snapdragon 870 may be making its way to the Black Shark 4. The former's Google Play Console listing suggests that Xiaomi will equip it with 12 GB of RAM too, just as it did with the Black Shark 3 Pro. It is unclear when the Blackshark 4 series will arrive, though.
