The global version of the Mi 11 is here, and Xiaomi is keen to show off how repairable its latest flagship smartphone is. The Mi 11 contains plenty of modular parts, while replacing the battery camera housing should be a breeze.

Xiaomi has released another teardown video, this time of the Mi 11. The company has simplified the disassembly of its flagship somewhat, but the video underlines that the Mi 11 is fairly repairable by modern standards. Firstly, it seems that the device's back panel should be simple to remove, with no cables or parts connecting it to the motherboard.

This decision should also make it simple to replace the wireless charging coil, should that ever fail. Additionally, Xiaomi has secured the camera housing with three screws, making it a somewhat simple procedure to replace this part if you crack or damage the housing somehow. Sadly, Xiaomi has soldered the USB Type-C port to a secondary board, but this should be easy to replace, too.

Additionally, Xiaomi has included a large battery pull tab, which is a must, in our opinion. Eventually, every Lithium-Ion battery will need replacing, so we applaud Xiaomi for making this process safer than some OEMs that insist on glueing batteries to the frames of their smartphones.

Overall, we are impressed by how repairable the Mi 11 looks. However, the company could make it easier to replace the display, but manufacturers have moved away from that generally in the last few years. The company's 'LiquidCool Technology 2.0' copper vapour chamber should keep the device from overheating too, even if it is not as large as the one found in the Mi 10 Ultra.
