How well can the new AMD Radeon 680M run Cyberpunk 2077 or Crysis Remastered? Pretty darn well for an integrated GPU. Performance can be over 2x faster than the Intel Iris Xe 96 EUs in some cases to be nearly on par with the discrete Nvidia GeForce 1650 series at times.

Asus introduced the Vivobook S 16X in both Intel Alder Lake-H up to the Core i7-12700H and AMD Rembrandt-H options up to the Ryzen 7 6800H and Ryzen 9 6900HX. The Vivobook S 16X claims to be the world's slimmest 16-inch 4K laptop with a PANTONE-validated OLED NanoEdge display that is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500-certified.

At its Pinnacle of Performance event, Asus introduced the first 17-inch Zenbook Pro SKU powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX and Nvidia RTX 3050. The ZenBook Pro 17 features a 2.5K NanoEdge touch 165 Hz IPS panel with Dolby Vision support and is expected to go on sale from Q3 2022.

Asus has upgraded the Vivobook Pro 16X OLED with the latest Intel Alder Lake-H and Ryzen 6000 Rembrandt-H options. The Vivobook Pro 16X OLED now offers up to Core i9-12900H or Ryzen 9 6900HX options along with up to 32 GB DDR5 RAM and RTX 3070 Ti GPU. Aimed at content creators, the Vivobook Pro 16X also comes with several ProArt features including a Virtual DialPad and the ProArt Creator Hub app.

Asus has officially unveiled the Vivobook S 14X OLED with some impressive specs, including an Intel Core i5-12500/Corei7-12700, 2.8K OLED screen, 70 Wh battery, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB storage, and more. It will be available for purchase in Q2, 2022.

Our first benchmarks with the Ryzen 9 6900HX are in and while they're pretty good on their own, they're not really all that different from the competing Intel Core i7-12800H or even the older Ryzen 9 5900HX.

New supposed iGPU performance capabilities for AMD’s Ryzen 7000 Zen 4-based “Phoenix” APUs have pitted the upcoming chips at around the same level as a GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU. These “Phoenix” 5-nm processors are destined for use in thin and light laptops thanks to their low power requirements.

New rumors about future AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors have been shared by a well-known TechTuber. The information concerns the potential core count, the Zen microarchitecture, and the possible availability for HEDT enthusiasts. Apparently, the Zen 4 AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series might feature an SKU with 96 cores.

The new AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS laptop processor has just appeared on PassMark where it produced a sterling result that left it over 23% ahead of its predecessor, the Ryzen 7 5800HS. In terms of the competition, the Ryzen 7 6800HS performed at a level that landed in-between the Intel Core i5-12500H and i7-12700H but with greater efficiency.

The latest all-in-one desktop system from Lenovo features a 4K LCD screen than can be easily reoriented in portrait or landscape mode, a JBL sound system and powerful specs such as the latest AMD Ryzen 6000H APUs coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and NVMe SSD storage, plus up to a Radeon RX 6600M dGPU.

Improvements over the previous generation include the latest Ryzen 6000U APUs from AMD, LPDDR5 RAM, FHD webcam, USB4 connector and a 16:10 OLED touchscreen option with 2.8K resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. The new Yoga 7 convertibles will be available in select regions excluding the U.S.

As expected, the Ryzen 7000X desktop processors will launch in Q3-Q4 this year with a 65+ W TDP and support for DDR5 / PCIe 5.0. However, it looks like the mobile sector is in for a big shake-up. AMD mentions the launch of 55+ W TDP Dragon Range models for extreme gaming laptops with the most cores on the market, plus the Phoenix models with 35-45 W TDPs for thin and light laptops, both scheduled for an early 2023 release.

With the Lenovo Legion 5 15, we took a look at the latest gaming notebook from Lenovo. Both the CPU and the GPU come from AMD. In the review, the performance was convincing and the attractive price may play into the Lenovo Legion 5 15's favour.

The 2-in-1 laptop offers an IPS touchscreen display, silent operation, good battery life, and a USB-C port with Power Delivery. The overall package doesn't make too much of a dent in your wallet.

The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D has become the highest-ranked processor from Team Red on UserBenchmark in terms of average bench. However, this still leaves the Ryzen 7 5800X3D in the somewhat lowly position of 15th place, as the highly criticized benchmark rates Alder Lake and some Rocket Lake chips as better.

AMD’s new Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U and Ryzen 5 PRO 6650U have turned up on PassMark and have produced impressive results that shine a very positive light on the latest Zen 3+ offerings. Both Ryzen 6000 chips, built for use in thin and light laptops, outpaced the Intel Core i7-1260P, with the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U looking particularly strong.

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D, also known by AMD as the “world’s fastest desktop gaming processor”, has appeared in PassMark’s synthetic benchmark suite. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D lagged behind the Ryzen 7 5800X and Intel Core i9-12900K, but its unique L3 cache configuration should not be overlooked when it comes to gaming.

AMD officially launched Ryzen Pro 6000 series today. The Ryzen Pro 6000 series is targeted at commercial users and is based on the 6 nm Zen 3+ architecture with RDNA 2 integrated graphics. AMD claims significant performance and battery life numbers, particularly with the Ryzen 7 Pro 6860Z in comparison with the Alder Lake Core i7-1260P.

RedGamingTech has leaked some early AMD Zen 5 info. The leak suggests Zen 5 chips will come with a hybrid design similar to Intel Alder Lake CPUs and will pack impressive gen-on-gen IPC performance gains.

AMD Ryzen 5000 processors are continuously dropping in price. At Micro Center, the 16-core Ryzen 9 5950X is going for US$520 which is US$280 cheaper than the launch MSRP of US$800. Although still discounted, prices on other retailers are above the ones offered by Micro Center.

The AMD Ryzen 7 5700X has been benchmarked in PassMark’s test suite for both single-thread performance and overall CPU Mark. The new Zen 3 Ryzen 7 5700X churned out respectable results that put it on a similar level to the Intel Core i5-12600K but at a much lower power cost than the hybrid rival.

Even though Intel was first to market with the Alder Lake DDR5 implementation, the performance gains over the DDR4 did not wow anyone, as the DDR5-4800 modules are barely faster than DDR4-3200, and the memory controllers add too much latency at higher frequencies. AMD wants to tackle this problem for the upcoming Zen 4 processors by introducing improved overclocking features.

The new BOX-5000 mini PCs are powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 5800U, Ryzen 5 5600U and Ryzen 3 5400U APUs that can be coupled with up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and a combo of NVMe + SATA3 storage solutions. There is support for 4X 4K video outputs and ASRock includes an M.2 module that adds Wi-Fi 6E + Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.

The new budget Zen 3 processors from AMD, the Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 5 5500, have made their first appearances on PassMark. Compared to the affordable rival Intel Core i5-12400, the Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 5 5500 produced expected benchmark results. The new additions from Team Red utilize the AM4 microprocessor socket.

The Inspiron 15 3505 shines with low noise levels, slots for two storage drives, and a moderate price. The installed Ryzen 5 APU does not reach its full potential. The battery life is poor.

With the V15 Gen 2 AMD, Lenovo creates quite an upgrade: AMD's hexa-core leaves everything else behind, particularly its predecessor with an Athlon Gold CPU. In addition, the office laptop is now more compact and very light at 1.64 kg (~3.6 lb). The stability is acceptable and the keyboard good. Unfortunately, the FHD display uses outdated technology.

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D is marginally faster and sometimes even slower than the 5800X when it comes to synthetic benchmarks like Geekbench, CPU-Z and Cinebench, but the processor really shines in games where it manages to outperform even the top-of-the-line Alder Lake desktop models from Intel.

A review by Tom's Hardware of the Ryzen 5 5500 and the Ryzen 5 5600 has shown that the chips fail to dominate their Intel rivals in gaming performance. Both CPUs try to go toe-to-toe with the Intel Core i5-12400 and the Intel Core i3-12100 but come up short, in most scenarios.

Still compatible with full-size video cards thanks to an external mounting dock, the MINISFORUM B550 only supports up to 65 W TDP processors. The configurations available for pre-order start at US$499, the price of the barebone variant with a Ryzen 7 4700G processor. The retail package will include the expansion dock for an external GPU.

A cryptomining computer allegedly running twelve repurposed PS5 chips has been spotted by Twitter user Komachi. The rig looks like it is from ASRock, costs a whopping US$14,800, and has reportedly been designed in collaboration with AMD.

The AMD Ryzen 7 5700X has been benchmarked on Geekbench, where it scores 1,634/1,645 and 10,179/10,196 on the single and multi-core test, respectively. It performs on par with the more expensive Ryzen 5800X and could even give the Intel Core i5-12600K a run for its money.

The Ryzen Pro series is targeting enterprise customers. With the past 2021 generation, only chips based on the newest "Cezanne" platform were sold under the Ryzen Pro label. Lucienne was only meant for consumers. With the 2022 AMD CPUs, things are changing, as the Cezanne refresh Barcelo will be released with Ryzen Pro variants - with the Ryzen 7 Pro 5875U as the top-of-the-line model.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D is not overclockable, the company's director of technical marketing confirmed in a recent interview. AMD recently revealed the price, US$449, and availability, April 20, of the chip. The company is positioning the chip as a competitor to Intel Core i9-12900K in gaming performance.

Testing performed by Phoronix on some AMD and Intel CPUs has revealed that Intel CPUs suffer as much as a 35% performance drop due to the Spectre-v2 mitigation on Linux, whereas almost all AMD processors post a drop of less than 10%.

AMD has made official the pricing and availability of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D based on 3D V-cache technology. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D will be available for US$449 starting April 20 worldwide. Apart from the 5800X3D, AMD also introduced several budget offerings in Ryzen 4000 and Ryzen 5000 series.

The compact ThinkPad models L13 and L13 Yoga are rather popular, seeing their comparably low pricing. The new ThinkPad models L13 Gen 3 and L13 Yoga Gen 3 receive 16:10 screens and a RAM upgrade.
