Asus intros the Zenbook Pro 17 powered by Ryzen 9 6900HX and RTX 3050 starting from €1,499

At its Pinnacle of Performance event, Asus introduced the first 17-inch Zenbook Pro SKU powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX and Nvidia RTX 3050. The ZenBook Pro 17 features a 2.5K NanoEdge touch 165 Hz IPS panel with Dolby Vision support and is expected to go on sale from Q3 2022.
AMD Launch Ryzen (Zen) Laptop

Asus is launching several new Zenbook Pro and Zenbook Pro Duo models today at its Pinnacle of Performance event. In the Zenbook Pro series, the company is introducing the Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OELD (UP6502) and the Zenbook Pro 17 (UM6702). 

This time, Asus is increasing the scope of the Zenbook Pro series by offering a SKU with a 17.3-inch display. The Zenbook Pro 17 sports a 2.5K IPS NanoEdge display with support for 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, Dolby Vision, touch input, and a 165 Hz refresh rate. The display is PANTONE-validated for accurate color reproduction. The display bezels also houses a FHD webcam with 3D noise reduction.

Powering the Zenbook Pro 17 is the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor that is complemented by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU. Up to 32 GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and up to a 2 TB SSD are on offer. Cooling the innards is Asus's IceCool Plus thermal system. 

Asus offers a decent port selection, which includes two USB4 ports and a standard-sized SD card reader among others. Wi-Fi 6E networking is available. A 76 Whr battery powers the components. 

The Asus Zenbook Pro 17 will be available from Q3 2022 starting from €1,499.
