ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED: 15.6-inch convertible laptop debuts with an Intel Core i7-12700H and an Intel Arc A370M GPU
ASUS has unveiled the Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502), a 15.6-inch convertible laptop that weighs in at 1.8 kg. While the machine is not all that heavy considering its size, ASUS has managed to include a large 96 Wh battery. ASUS has not released battery life estimates yet, but a 96 Wh battery should keep the Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502) ticking over for a while between charges.
According to ASUS, the Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502) will be powered by the Core i5-12500H or the Core i7-12700H, two Intel Alder Lake processors that have 4P+8E and 6P+8E core arrangements, respectively. Additionally, the Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502) will be available with the Intel Arc A370M, an entry-level dedicated GPU with 4 GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
Moreover, the Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502) has a 2.8K OLED display that operates at 2,880 x 1,620 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Like ASUS' other recent OLED refreshes, the Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502) also offers a 120 Hz refresh rate, 550 nits of peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. For reference, the Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502) comes with the following ports. As far as we can tell, the machine has all these ports, regardless of the configuration chosen.
- 1x 3.5 mm combo audio jack
- 1x DC-in
- 1x HDMI 2.0b
- 2x Thunderbolt 4
- 1x micro SD card reader
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
The Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502) will be available in the Eurozone from Q3 2022, where it will start at €1,399. Unfortunately, ASUS has not confirmed full pricing details yet, nor a firm release date. Likewise, it is unclear how much the machine will cost in other markets, such as the UK and the US.
