The Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition features a slim chassis made of aerospace grade aluminum branded with ISS-inspired designs, plus a ZenVision 3.5-inch grayscale OLED screen on the lid. Its main display gets a 2.8K 16:10 OLED screen, and, despite the 15.9 mm profile, the system is powered by Intel's i9-12900H 14-core processor.

In addition to the more affordable UX / UM 3402 models, Asus is also introducing the premium 14X Space Edition to the Zenbook OLED lineup. This is the slimmest high-end Zenbook yet, despite its powerful specs, and it also features a 2.8 K OLED panel plus a smaller ZenVision screen on the lid.

The exclusive ZenVision feature consists of a 3.5-inch 256 x 64 grayscale OLED screen integrated on the right side of the lid. It is designed to resemble a spaceship’s data sheet that can display customized text, personal identity tag, useful device stats and time/date, plus customized animations or UI elements. As for the main display, Asus includes a 14-inch 16:10 2880 x 1800 OLED panel with 90 Hz refresh, 0.2 ms response time, VESA DisplayHDR 500 and Pantone calibration.

At the heart of the system is the newly released Intel Core i9-12900H 14-core processor, which is quite surprising, given the slim system profile of only 15.9 mm and total weight of ~1.3 kg. The chassis is made of aerospace grade aluminum with ISS inspired patterns. Asus even managed to squeeze in an efficient IceCool dual fan cooler with D6 and D8 heat pipes that maintain noise levels under 35 db even in full performance mode (45 W). The CPU also integrates the latest Iris Xe GPU and can be coupled with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM plus up to 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage.

Port selection includes 2x Thunderbolt 4 connectors with 5V-20V Easy Charge, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI 2.0 video output, microSD card reader and audio combo jack. The laptop also features Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.2 connectivity, fingerprint reader integrated on the power button, touchpad with integrated numpad and a 63 Wh battery.

Availability is scheduled for Q2 2022 and prices will start at 1399 Euro.
