HP Envy x360 15.6 now available in Alder Lake-P and Barcelo-U variants with 5 MP webcam for enhanced remote collaboration
HP is offering a revamped Envy x360 15.6-inch convertible lineup this year. The new Envy x360 15.6-inch comes in both Intel and AMD flavors with a renewed focus on video collaboration features. This includes a 5 MP webcam with all kinds of software enhancements such as Appearance Filter, HP Auto Frame, HP Dynamic Voice Leveling, AI noise reduction, and more.
The Intel variant of the Envy x360 15.6-inch can be configured with a range of processor options starting from the Core i5-1235U to the Core i7-1260P. The convertible laptop also offers the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 as a discrete GPU. RAM options range from 8 GB to 16 GB DDR4-3200, and up to 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD can be had in the default configuration.
The Envy x360 Intel variant also offers several 15.6-inch touch display options to choose from including QHD 120 Hz, FHD OLED, and FHD IPS. Connectivity needs are addressed by Intel Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.2 or a MediaTek MT7921 Wi-Fi 6. 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports are available alongside common 10 Gbps USB Type-A and HDMI 2.1-out. A HP MPP2.0 tilt pen comes part of the package.
On the AMD side, HP does not yet offer Ryzen 6000 options with the new Envy x360. You get to choose between Ryzen 5 5625U and a Ryzen 7 5825U APUs. Memory, storage, and battery options are similar to the Intel variant, but the display choices are limited to just FHD OLED and FHD IPS with no QHD 120 Hz option. There's no Thunderbolt 4 understandably, but you only get two USB Type-C 10 Gbps ports in lieu.
The HP Envy x360 15.6-inch will be available from May 19. Pricing for the Intel variant starts from US$899.99 while the AMD variant starts from US$849.99.
