How well can the new AMD Radeon 680M run Cyberpunk 2077 or Crysis Remastered? Pretty darn well for an integrated GPU. Performance can be over 2x faster than the Intel Iris Xe 96 EUs in some cases to be nearly on par with the discrete Nvidia GeForce 1650 series at times.

One of the more exciting aspects of the mobile Zen 3+ series is its massively upgraded integrated GPU. The update is so significant that AMD has decided to drop the previous RX Vega name for a simpler Radeon name instead. Laptops this year with higher-end Ryzen 6000U or 6000H series CPUs will begin carrying integrated Radeon 660M or 680M graphics to succeed the last generation RX Vega series.

Asus was kind enough to send us its Zephyrus G14 GA402R equipped with the Ryzen 9 6900HS CPU and integrated Radeon 680M for testing purposes. Our benchmark results below compare this Radeon 680M against the average Iris Xe 96 EUs in our database in addition to the Iris Xe 80 EUs and entry-level Nvidia GeForce GPUs like the MX150, MX450, and GTX 1650.

In synthetic 3DMark benchmarks, the Radeon 680M sits comfortably in between the GTX 1650 Max-Q and MX450 to be about 40 to 60 percent ahead of the Iris Xe 96 EUs. Impressively, the integrated AMD GPU is also able to maintain its lead over both the MX450 and Iris Xe 96 EUs in all tested games sometimes by as much as 2x. Elden Ring in particular can run at a smooth 30 FPS at 1080p medium settings whereas both Iris Xe and the MX450 would frequently dip below that mark due to their lower performance overhead.

Now, it's worth mentioning that the Radeon 680M in our example is paired with the very fast and uncommon Ryzen 9 6900HS H-series CPU. Performance will indubitably be worse than what we've shown here on laptops with the same GPU but a slower Ryzen U-series CPU instead. Even so, results are nonetheless very promising for the Radeon 680M all things considered.
