SQFMI has released the Watchy on Crowd Supply, having sold out of the open-source smartwatch on Tindie. The Watchy, which was an e-Paper display, can be ordered from US$50 and will begin shipping in May. SQFMI is offering the Watchy with CNC and injection moulded cases this time around.

The Dimensity 1100 is an SoC MediaTek has introduced as a one-step-down option from its new flagship, the 1200. The OEM Vivo is rumored to be one of the first, if not the first, to produce a phone based on it. According to a new leak, it is called the S9 and will debut on March 6, 2021.

Huawei may brag that HarmonyOS 2.0 is a 'brand-new distributed operating system', but Ars Technica has discovered that the company is telling porkies. Instead, HarmonyOS 2.0 is nothing more than a renamed EMUI 11, and one that Harmony requires a passport or a driving licence to try out.

Flagship iPhones have been unlockable through Face ID only since 2017. Now, however, there are hints that Apple might bring its only real alternative, Touch ID, back in 2021. It will apparently be an in-display version for the first time, with the company leaving the Home button in the dust with the putative new technology.

People have discovered a new issue affecting Cyberpunk 2077, and it is one that could allow the execution of malicious code on your PC. CDPR blames external DLLs and claims that it will fix the problem soon. However, people apparently warned CDPR of the issue before it released Hotfix 1.11. Cyberpunk Engine Tweaks has reputedly already addressed the vulnerability, though.

Google Stadia has already proven itself as a video game streaming service, with triple-A titles like Cyberpunk 2077 having made the jump to the platform. However, its big breakthrough remains a long way off, and the closure of the in-house Stadia Games & Entertainment points to a re-focusing of Stadia just 14 months after its launch.

Sony decided to only update only a handful of devices to Android 11, including the Xperia 1, Xperia 5 and Xperia 5 II. The Android 11 upgrade has now spread to more countries, but there are multiple complaints from owners of bugs and of regressive changes that Sony has made from Android 10.

Digital Chat Station has lifted the lid on the Mi 11 Ultra, the successor to August's Mi 10 Ultra. Apparently, Xiaomi will equip the Mi 11 Ultra with a 2K and 120 Hz display, along with a much larger battery than it included in the Mi 10 Ultra. The Mi 11 Ultra will supposedly support up to 67 W wireless charging too.

The Galaxy A52 is a keenly-anticipated Samsung mid-ranger as it is projected to come with quad rear cameras and 4G/5G variants. Its launch has been set in stone as it has now been listed on the TENAA regulatory database. Meanwhile, the leaker Evan Blass now asserts that it will come in 4 "Awesome" colors.

With the Chromebook Flip CM3000, ASUS will soon introduce a Chrome OS-based 2-in-1 that looks an awful lot like a Microsoft Surface Go. The ASUS Chromebook Flip CM3000 features a 10.5-inch display, 4 GB of RAM, a detachable keyboard and pen support.

The latest Helix and Karbon fanless mini PC models from OnLogic are designed for the IoT and industrial markets. Equipped with the more powerful Celeron and Pentium processors, the Helix series comes in a more compact case, but it also offers fewer expansion options. The Karbon models, on the other hand, offer a more robust connectivity and expansion package, yet they only feature the slower Atom CPUs.

The NZXT H1 case has come under very close scrutiny from the team at Gamers Nexus in two recent videos. It appears a fault with the PCIe riser involving conductive metal screws, an unplated PCB through hole, and an exposed 12 V plane has caused some units to catch on fire. NZXT has issued a workaround with nylon screws, but this still leaves faulty boards in place.
Update: NZXT has taken greater and more positive steps to address the issue.

Santa Monica Studio will release a free God of War patch that will bring new visual enhancements to those playing the 2018 hit title on the PlayStation 5. Gamers will be able to choose to play God of War in “enhanced performance mode” on the PS5 at 4K (checkerboard) and 60 FPS.

Apple is said to have added support for both the Sony PS5 DualSense controller and the Xbox Series X/S controller to the first iOS 14.5 beta. The relatively quick addition of support for the next-gen console controllers continues to point to Apple’s gaming ambitions.

A Gigabyte G5 KC gaming laptop with an Intel Core i7-10870H and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU has been spotted on Geekbench turning out a terrific OpenCL score that would place it roughly between the RTX 2070 and RTX 2070 Super desktop cards in the benchmark chart. There is some evidence that this phone will be revealed as the Pro version of the X3 on its launch. Microsoft has now confirmed that stock levels of its next-generation Xbox consoles will not be getting better anytime soon. According to the company, it will be at least June before the Series S, and Series X are easier to purchase through official retail channels.

A few specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi Black Shark 4 and the Asus ROG Phone 4/5 have leaked online. A new leak pertaining to AMD's upcoming EPYC Milan server lineup has revealed more information about the processor's naming scheme and also a list of SKUs that are like to launch in the coming weeks. The Milan lineup will start with the 8C/16T EPYC 72F3 and tops-out with the EPYC 7763 featuring 64 cores and 128 threads.

A well-known Chinese leaker has ignited speculation about Xiaomi releasing a new mid-range smartphone with an unreleased Snapdragon 7 series chipset. Possibly the Mi 11 Lite 5G, the device is said to feature a Snapdragon 775G, along with an OLED screen, a 64 MP primary camera and a 5x zoom lens.

Not only will Xiaomi unveil the Mi 11 globally on February 8, but it will also reveal the latest version of MIUI. MIUI 12.5 should initially reach at least 28 devices across Xiaomi's Mi and Redmi series. Xiaomi promises that MIUI 12.5 will be faster and smoother than MIUI 12, too.

Simply called "iCloud Passwords," the new Google Chrome extension allows its users to use the same Safari passwords that they created on their Apple device with Chrome on Windows. Besides, iCloud Passwords also saves passwords created with Google Chrome on Windows to the iCloud Keychain for later use on Apple devices.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 has received another security patch update, bringing the Android One handset onto the January patch. The Mi A2 will remain on Android 10 indefinitely, but security patch updates should be headed its way until the summer.

After rolling out the Android 11 update to the Poco X2 and Mi Note 10 Lite last month, Xiaomi is now seeding a similar update to the popular Redmi Note 9S. The update is based on MIUI 12, as expected, and is slowly arriving for global versions of the phone.

Xiaomi has seeded a new update to the Mi A3, bringing the device onto the January security patch. The update, which the company has based on Android 11, also contains a working screen recorder. V12.0.4.0.RFQMIXM is rolling out as an OTA now for all devices on the global branch of Xiaomi's Android One program, including those that have already been upgraded to Android 11.

Supposed further specs for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 have revealed some final key details about the foldable phone. Apparently there will be at least two RAM + storage configurations, possible IP certification, camera housing design based on that of the Galaxy S21, and 15 W wireless charging. But all these improvements over the Z Flip 5G will come at a high price.
