Vivo's MediaTek Dimensity 1100-powered phone is slated to launch in March 2021
Recently, an alleged Vivo phone surfaced in a leak with 12GB of RAM, Android 11, and the Dimensity 1100 processor. MediaTek has just introduced this platform alongside its more premium sibling, the 1200. Nevertheless, the 2 chipsets share many characteristics that might make interesting prospects of both once they get onto the markets (not to mention benchmarks) in the form of complete devices.
One of the first of these may be this upcoming Vivo phone, heretofore known by the model number V2072A. However, the Weibo leaker Arsenal may have named it as the S9 in one of their latest tips. The leaker asserts that the Dimensity 1100 vehicle has a launch date.
Given that it is only about a month away now, it might be the one in which its chipset makes its debut. Then again, other brands that include Realme and Redmi may be hot on its heels. They have reportedly picked the 1200 up for new phones in 2021, and may thus find space on their shelves for more new Dimensity-powered variants in the same year.
