The Xiaomi Mi A2 has received another security patch update, bringing the Android One handset onto the January patch. The Mi A2 will remain on Android 10 indefinitely, but security patch updates should be headed its way until the summer.

The Mi A2 may be two and a half years old, but Xiaomi continues to furnish the device with security patch updates. There will be no additional OS updates coming the way of the Mi A2, but security patch updates should arrive monthly until at least July 2021.

Xiaomi has upgraded the Mi A2 to the January security patch in that vein, courtesy of V11.0.20.0.QDIMIXM. The update supposedly optimises system performance too and improves system stability, but Xiaomi is unlikely ever to provide demonstrable proof of this. Unsurprisingly, V11.0.20.0.QDIMIXM is a 24 MB over-the-air (OTA) download.

V11.0.20.0.QDIMIXM is rolling out now to all handsets. If, for some reason, your device remains on an older version of Android One and it has not received a notification to download V11.0.20.0.QDIMIXM, then you can trigger the update process by installing the build manually. Xiaomi has posted links to download the OTA and recovery files on a Mi Community page, but we have also included them below.
