The Huawei Watch GT 2e gains a new feature in its latest software update

Huawei has released a software update to the Watch GT 2e, its sportier alternative to the Watch GT 2. Version 1.0.06.20 is a 32.31 MB download and contains the usual release notes of improving system stability and fixing some bugs. Huawei has not specified which bugs 1.0.06.20 addresses, mind you.

Nonetheless, the update also adds a new feature in the form of a seven-day weather forecast. Incidentally, Huawei recently added the identical feature to the Watch GT 2, as we reported. You can download 1.0.06.20 via the Huawei Health app, although please be aware that Huawei may take a few days or weeks to push the update to all Watch GT 2e smartwatches.

Additionally, your smartwatch must have at least 20% charge before you can commence the update process. Moreover, the  progress bar in the Huawei Health app reflects the transfer of the update to the smartwatch, not the installation progress. Unsurprisingly, Huawei recommends maintaining a stable Bluetooth connection between your smartwatch and smartphone during the update.
