Huawei continues to bring more features to the Watch GT 2 Pro, which remains its flagship smartwatch. Last month, the company improved system stability of its smartwatch with firmware version 10.1.3.42, which has been followed with a more comprehensive update this month.
According to Huawei Central, Huawei has now released firmware version 11.0.4.22, which the company is distributing in batches globally. 11.0.4.22 makes the following changes to the Watch GT 2 Pro:
- Added password functionality
- Support added for the motion interface to always remain on
- Optimised running segmentation functionality
- Optimised menstrual cycle functionality
- Optimised a part of the UI interface
- Optimised system stability
The addition of password functionality is a welcome improvement, and one that Huawei should have included from the start. A recent update also brought PIN support to the smartwatch, so now you can secure your Watch GT 2 Pro with one of two methods.
You can download 11.0.4.22 now via the Huawei Health app. Please note that your smartwatch must have at least 20% before the update can commence. Additionally, the Huawei Health app's progress bar represents how much of the update package has been transferred to the smartwatch. Once that has been completed, the Watch GT 2 Pro will start updating to 11.0.4.22.
