Xperia 5 II: Sony brings the pink model to Europe and throws in WF-1000XM3 earbuds to sweeten the deal
It has been a few months since Sony introduced a pink version of the Xperia 5 II, which it originally sold alongside the black, blue and grey models in select markets. However, Sony has now brought the pink edition to Europe, where it is selling for as little as €799. Currently, the pink model is only available through Sony's eStore that Digital River manages.
Additionally, Sony sells the pink edition in Germany, Italy and Spain for the time being. It remains to be seen if the company plans to make the model available in other European countries, though. Also, the pink version is €100 cheaper in Italy and Spain than it is in Germany, where it retails for €899.
Nonetheless, orders in all countries will receive a complimentary pair of WF-1000XM3 earbuds, currently Sony's flagship pair of TWS earbuds. At the time of writing, Sony charges approximately €170 for the WF-1000XM3, effectively bringing the price of the pink Xperia 5 II to €629, or €729 if you live in Germany.
All other specifications and features of the pink Xperia 5 II remain identical to other colours. Hence, the model has a glossy glass back that is incredibly slippery. It would be great to see Sony release the purple version of the Xperia 5 II outside Japan too, but its tie-in with NTT Docomo suggests otherwise.
