Recently, a Vivo phone with the model number V1901A (or V1901T) has surfaced on Geekbench. With its 4GB of RAM, Android 9 ROM and 2.3GHz SoC, its specs hint at a new solid budget option waiting in the wings. If you are not a fan of smartphone notches, you most likely will not like the Aquos R3, but the model certainly has some redeeming specs like the 6.2-inch IGZO IPS display with 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10 certification or the dedicated 20 MP video recording camera on the back. It also sports the Snapdragon 855 SoC like a true flagship, but the 3,200 mAh battery might not be a great choice in this case.

It depicts an electronic product that can lay flat, but can also be folded...into a 3D rectangle. This "display device", therefore, may be a new kind of convertible, although it does not really seem that portable.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has ordered the recall of a wireless charging pad sold by the company Imagine Nation Books due to a burn hazard. This order affects about 64,000 of these products circulating in the country. Those who have bought them are advised to return them for a refund without delay.

Compared to the K1, the upcoming OPPO K3 gets some upgrades, but some downgrades, as well. The upgrades include a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with no notch, a pop-up selfie cam, bigger 3,700 mAh battery, and up to 8 GB of RAM plus 128 GB storage, while the downgrades consist of a slightly slower Snapdragon 710 SoC and a 16 MP sensor for the selfie cam.

Samsung announces new 64 MP image sensor for mobile devices

Samsung introduced two new smartphone image sensors today. Dubbed the GW1 and GM2, the sensors can produce images up to 64 and 48 MP, respectively, thanks to incredibly small pixels. Both sensors feature 0.8 μm pixels, which are currently the smallest on the market. The sensors can be expected to shine in phones in the latter half of 2019.

Images of a mystery smartphone have been shared on Twitter, with some tweeters immediately presuming they were gazing at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10 for the first time. Unfortunately, it was quickly revealed that the renders were not of the coveted phablet. In other Note 10 rumor news, the possibility of it coming with UFS 3.0 storage seems more likely.
