Have you been wondering what new flagship this year now that Samsung has nixed the headphone jack? Well, Huawei may have the answer for you, and it may be arriving as soon as next month. Enter the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, with leaked case designs showing off the increasingly shunned jack in all its glory.

Despite the cards being stacked against it last quarter, Huawei managed to record an increase in smartphone sales of 16.5 percent for the quarter, while Samsung also saw a 3.8 percent bump. Apple, on the other hand, continued its downwards trend with a 13.8 percent decline in sales for the quarter.

The Redmi K20 series will get a 2nd generation, according to the brand's general manager. Furthermore, it will also get 5G. It is not clear if this will apply to all variants of the K30, or just one of them.

Samsung is now rumored to have a new version of its existing Galaxy A70 in the works. This phone (which currently goes by the model name SM-A707F) appears to be extremely similar to its predecessor in terms of specs. Now, a new regulatory document includes the same model number, lending much more weight to the "Galaxy A70s" theory.

Redmi launched its first ever laptop, a 14-inch ultrabook, not long ago. Now, it is destined for the launch stage again, in the form of a new variant with an updated Intel chipset. The brand has not specified which one it will be, save that it is to be a Core i7 from the new 10 series.

A new OnePlus phone will have cameras that are found in a single, circular module on the back of the phone. At least, this is what new renders from OnLeaks/PriceBaba indicate. These leakers speculate that the device in question will be the 7T, and, thus, will launch in mere months.

International betas of MIUI may have been terminated, but they are still going for Chinese users. The company continues to grow in terms of revenue and is looking at cloud gaming as a potential "fourth pillar" to accompany Razer's existing hardware, software, and services.

A Portugese YouTuber called Dudu Rocha has demonstrated what may be Samsung's next major software upgrade on camera. This ROM, which was shown in comparison to a second phone running One UI 1.0, exhibits an About page that clearly shows Android 10 as its OS version. If valid, it indicates that some Galaxy Note 10 features are coming to older flagships with this update.

A device with the novel model number OPPO PCKM00 has appeared on the Geekbench website recently. It is described as having 8GB of RAM, the Snapdragon 675 processor and as running Android 9. This phone has attained a relatively good score for these specifications.

The Redmi Note 8 and 8 Pro will be released in China soon. A tech blog claims to have a document detailing the choices of colors and storage options available to either variant. It asserts that the Note 8 will start at 4GB of RAM, whereas the Note 8 Pro's base SKU has 6.

However, the phone cannot be actually ordered until August 26th, 2019. It will start at a promotional price of US$179.99, but may revert to $249.99 thereafter.

Samsung has been rumored to bring out a second version of its Galaxy M30 smartphone for some time. A new listing in the Bluetooth SIG database indicates that this is in fact the case. A blog has also found a 2nd new phone from the same OEM: a potential 2019 Galaxy XCover.

Redmi has packed a number of exciting details in its latest official announcement. Firstly, it has confirmed that its promised 64MP camera will debut in the Redmi Note 8 Pro. It will be released alongside the base Note 8 at an event on August 29, 2019. The 70-inch Redmi 4K TV will also be unveiled at this event.

Design-wise, the upcoming Reno2 mid-ranger from Oppo appears to be very similar to its predecessor. The specs, however, got quite a few upgrades. The screen is slightly bigger with a 6.55-inch diagonal and 2,400 x 1,080 resolution and True HDR10 support, while the internals now feature a Snapdragon 730G SoC with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage. The rear camera also got updated with a 48 + 13 + 8 +2 MP setup.

An oversight by Apple caused an old security bug to be reintroduced with iOS 12.4. While the bug had been patched in iOS 12.3, the exploit is present in the latest operating system from Apple and can be used for jailbreaking on compatible devices. On the flip side, the security hole presents new risks; the bug can be used by malicious parties to hack into an iPhone or iPad running 12.4.

A new leak on the subject of Motorola's upcoming foldable phone states that it will have a launch event in the US prior to one in Europe. It is also thought to cost US$1500, which will translate to the same amount in Euros. A new render for this phone suggests it will definitely retain the iconic Razr looks as it does so.

The OEM Vivo recently released a teaser in which it hinted that its upcoming flagship, the Nex 3, would have a state-of-the-art waterfall display. Now, the product line's manager, Li Xiang, has revealed a photo of a phone in which the screen appears to cascade over the side of the device. However, the effect has already been disputed on social media.

Initially announced to be a Kirin 980 device, the Mate X, which got delayed once again, is said to be getting an upgrade to the unannounced Kirin 990 SoC. Besides a new ARM Cortex-A77 core cluster, the new SoC will also integrate a 5G modem and will enable 4K@60 fps recording capabilities, and, to take advantage of the increased resolution Huawei is also throwing in a P30 camera setup.

A device with Redmi branding and the model number M1908C3IC has been certified by the Chinese telecomms authority TENAA. It is believed that this device will be called the 8 on launch. It has dual cameras and 3 RAM SKUs.

Xiaomi has announced that it will launch the Mi A3 as India's next Android One device on August 21, 2019. However, Amazon may have spoiled its reveal by publishing listings for its SKUs ahead of time. They show that these phones will at least start at INR 14,998 (~US$210).
