As we draw nearer to the launch of the P40 series, Geekbench may have offered us a first look at some of the hardware that the P40 Pro will feature. Caught with 8 GB of RAM, @RODENT950 has already confirmed that the HUAWEI ELS-NX9 is the global variant of the P40 Pro 5G.
Additionally, the Geekbench listing confirms that the P40 Pro 5G will be powered by a Kirin 990 5G SoC, the same chipset found in the Mate 30 Pro. While Geekbench does not explicitly state this, it refers to the SoC as the ARM implementer 72 architecture 8 variant 3 part 3392 revision 1, an identifier also seen in Mate 30 Pro Geekbench listings. The TAS-AN00 is the Chinese version of the Mate 30 Pro, for reference.
Separately, Evan Blass has published a new photo of the various colourways for the P40 series. According to @RODENT950, the P40 series will be available in Black, Silver Frost, Blush Gold, Deep Sea Blue, Ice White, Ceramic Black and Ceramic White. Moreover, the same leaker also claims that the P40 series will be priced as follows:
- P40 - €799-899
- P40 Pro - €999-€1,099
- P40 Pro PE - €1,199- €1,299
@RODENT950 states that prices may vary by up to €100 in different countries and markets. Please keep in mind that these prices will include local taxes too, so they are not directly convertible to other currencies.
