Makes a lot of wind. The Lenovo Legion Y530 does not waste much time with questions about the design, but delivers a lot of performance for an affordable price instead. After the review of the GTX 1050 Ti SKU, we now have a look at the model with the more powerful GTX 1060. What can users expect from this laptop?

An Ultrabook for gamers. The new Blade Stealth proves that not all GeForce MX150 GPUs are created equal. It's the fastest 13.3-inch Ultrabook we've tested with graphics performance just shy of a GTX 960M all in a sleek package the size of a MacBook Pro 13.

Well-equipped. BQ aims to pack a lot of features in its low-priced smartphone: Solid hardware, fast-charging and a good camera. It sounds like a pretty good deal, but you should read our review to find out whether it really is one.

A flagship challenger? The Chuwi Hi9 Plus is a well-equipped all-rounder that would serve as a good notebook replacement for some people. The Hi9 Plus is competitively priced at around US$230 on its own and approximately US$340 with its accessories.

Mid-range gamer. The Coffee Lake hexa-core processor and the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card can display all current games smoothly on the matte Full HD IPS display. On top of that, the device offers 8 GB of RAM in dual-channel mode, Intel Optane Memory and a decent keyboard. However, it also has some weaknesses.

Recommendable! The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2920X is the more affordable model of AMD's latest Threadripper generation. At $649 it is priced similarly to Intel's Core i9-9900K. A pure workhorse! After our closer look at the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X, we have also got our hands on its sibling, the Threadripper 2970WX. The 2970WX has 24 cores and can execute up to 48 threads, which is another eight cores and 16 threads more than the 2950X has. The latter has a 500 MHz higher base clock speed and a 200 MHz higher boost clock speed though, although the 2970WX has a 70 W higher TDP. Small rose. There are countless compact 13.3-inch laptops on the market. This should come as no surprise, since laptops such as the Dell XPS 13 are ideal companions for day-to-day life. With the Asus VivoBook S13 S330UA, we are testing a new model from Asus that is slightly cheaper than the popular XPS 13 from Dell.

Alien on a diet. Alienware's first ultra-thin laptop maintains the spirit of the original Alienware 15 R4 while propelling the series forward into the super-light gaming category. Of course, some sacrifices had to be made when moving to a smaller design, but it's mostly a success especially in terms of Turbo Boost performance and chassis rigidity.

The perfect Bokeh. HTC positions the U12 Life as a smartphone with amazing camera effects to suit and satisfy everyone's artistic needs and wishes. In addition, it is also capable of 4K video recording, is supposed to feature a high-performance SoC, and long battery life. Let's find out which claims will hold up to our review and which ones will fall victim to an overly zealous marketing department.

Compact gaming racer. The Omen 15 brings all the current computer games smoothly to the matte Full HD display. Hewlett-Packard uses a very responsive 144-Hz IPS panel here, and the rest of the equipment is also all right: NVMe SSD, 32 GB of working memory, Thunderbolt 3.

Simple but modern. The Toshiba Tecra A50 is a sleekly designed and modern looking 15.6-inch laptop that Toshiba has equipped with modern hardware. Read on to find out for whom the A50 is suited and what performance buyers can expect from this quad-core laptop.

Fit for the future. We regularly update our fleet of desktops and laptops to keep up with the latest gaming benchmarks and now is time for us to update the former. This article is dedicated to our latest main testing platform that will serve as the foundation on which we will conduct future benchmark articles of the most recent games.

Affordable convertible. The 14-inch Inspiron convertible starts pretty cheap at under $600 USD for both a 1080p touchscreen and a modern Whiskey Lake-U CPU. We go more in-depth on the system to find out what else it may be hiding when compared to the competition.

Core i9-9900K and Quadro P5200 in one laptop. For about $5000+ USD, professional users can get what is essentially a high-end desktop wrapped in a 17.3-inch chassis. Performance is indubitably fast, but not as fast as it could have been in regards to the CPU.

Room for improvement. As expected, the 2019 edition of the popular and successful Farming Simulator has stormed the sales charts this winter. Read on to find out how well Farming Simulator 19 runs on different systems and what hardware is required to run the game smoothly at different resolutions and graphics levels.

Budget 2.1. The Nokia 2.1 succeeds the Nokia 2 and manages to be both cheaper and more powerful than its predecessor. The amount of RAM and flash storage are still meagre though, but the device runs Android One Oreo Edition, which should mean that it remains updated with the latest security patches. A rare sight. While Intel and Nvidia still call the shots in the high-end segment, AMD is quite well-positioned in affordable laptops. The best example is the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-42 with a Ryzen 7 2700U and Radeon RX 560X, which can be purchased for less than 1000 Euros (~$1132). Do the competitors need to shiver? We will find out!

Compact gaming PC! The MSI Aegis 3 8RD is a compact gaming PC that is equipped with an Intel Core i7-8700 processor and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 GPU. Hence, the Aegis 3 is powerful enough on paper to handle all modern games. The whole thing is packed in a stylish case with RGB lighting. From old to new. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 makes use of tried and tested technology, a sliding mechanism and an almost bezel-less and, more importantly, notch-free design. But the latest offspring of the Mi Mix series also has another surprise in store.

Game On. Razer is getting ready for round two. Following the first real gaming smartphone named simply, Phone, they have introduced the - surprise - Phone 2. Don't be fooled by its lackluster name though: the Phone 2 is everything but boring. Let's take a look at what the brand-new gaming smartphone can do and what its weaknesses are.

The sixth iteration... The Redmi 6 is part of Xiaomi's very affordable smartphone series, aiming again to offer a lot of smartphone for little money. However, in the meantime, other manufacturers also offer good affordable smartphones. Our test clarifies whether the Redmi 6 is still a very good deal.

Grown-up gamer. A Lenovo Legion laptop with no hint of red? The Y7000 is a more mature step forward that drops the gaudy glossy look of older Lenovo gaming laptops for a smoother and more uniform narrow-bezel design. The end result is a notebook without all the bright or eccentric colors often associated with powerful gaming machines.

Insider tip. The Huawei Mate 20 is largely identical to its 200-Euro (~$225) more expensive sibling, the Mate 20 Pro. Read on to find out whether the Mate 20 is worth the money and its differences from the Mate 20 Pro.

The affordable 860 model. Samsung has added a new model for the SATA-3 connection to its 860 series. In addition to the Evo and the Pro, now there is also the 860 QVO, which is significantly more affordable than its siblings (in theory). Our test clarifies where you have to lower your sights for the reduced price.

Nokia 7.ONE. HMD's Nokia 7.1 is based on Android One, and thus free of unnecessary apps, most commonly referred to as bloatware. The result is supposed to be a minimalistic and fast system, designed to run even more demanding apps. The best-looking FPS with only minor graphics improvements. Although the engine underpinning Battlefield V has hardly improved from its predecessor, the latest game in the Battlefield series is one of the prettiest PC games around. Giant Pixel. Now in its third generation of Pixel smartphones, Google wants to tempt potential buyers away from its competitors with exclusive software features. No flagship. The Google Pixel 3 is an expensive smartphone, which retails for US$799 (£739). However, it must compete against comparably equipped but considerably cheaper competitors. Metal Gear Solid. The ZBook Studio is now available in its third iteration – though it may seem a bit odd that this model is named "G5". Timeless leather. HP is putting a new spin on laptop convertibles inspired by antique cameras and wristwatches. The one-of-a-kind leather design is both premium and classic, but its size, weight, and features fall a bit short compared to the sleek and modern metal Ultrabook.

Let's ROG Stop Zen! After years of calm, ASUS has blown the mobile gaming world open with its first smartphone. The ROG Phone has more up its sleeve than a fast processor, plenty of RAM and energetic marketing material. ASUS has integrated trigger buttons into the Phone’s frame, a dock connector and included an active cooler in the box. Find out in our detailed review whether the ROG Phone does enough to score top marks.

All good things come in threes. According to our tests, the highlight of the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is not its triple camera. It is another hardware element that beats every other mid-range smartphone.

New edition. Amazon has updated its 8-inch Fire HD 8 tablet but kept the price at its low level; the tablet still starts at just $80. Most notable updates: Alexa and wireless charging.

Strong and expensive. The release of the third generation of Apple’s huge tablet has coincided with a complete redesign that shares more design cues with the new iPhone XS series than classic iPhones. Apple has equipped its most-expensive tablet with its most-powerful ARM SoC, Face ID, high volume storage options, support for a new Apple Pencil and much more, including a massive mark-up in price.

2 in 1 with an MX150. Acer’s flagship convertible, the Switch 7 Black Edition, offers powerful hardware and an innovative fanless cooling solution. Both the Intel Core i7-8550U and the Nvidia GeForce MX150 are cooled without any fans. You can learn how well this works out in everyday life by reading our review.

Special combination. HP has added another new model to its ZBook Studio series, which are expensive premium-workstations. The special thing about this new ZBook Studio is that it is a convertible. All screen. The new ZenBook 14 has a mind-boggling 92 percent screen-to-body ratio to best even the XPS 13. How did Asus manage to achieve such narrow bezels on all four sides of the display while still offering 100 percent sRGB and Whiskey Lake-U?

Stale post-apocalypse. Fallout 76 has been received poorly by critics and players. Bugs, missing NPCs, weak story; the list of shortcomings is seemingly endless. Unfortunately, the game engine will not win many plaudits either, as we will discuss in our benchmark article.

A frugal all-rounder - AMD has already refreshed its economical APUs that are designed for multimedia use. Intel has followed suit with new frugal processors based on its Coffee Lake architecture. Our focus for this review is the Core i5-8500T, a 35-W TDP chip that has six cores and an integrated GPU. We will be investigating how well the new CPU performs in this review and whether it can handle the latest triple-A games.

Entry-level device with low stamina - With the Nokia 5, the Finnish manufacturer addresses less demanding smartphone users. As per usual, Nokia's design is subtle and elegant. The specifications are rather modest, which is why at 200 Euros (~$228), it is not exactly cheap.

Sandbox experience. Just like its 2016 predecessor, Hitman 2 offers very expansive levels, which can be completed in a wide variety of ways. You can learn how well the game performs with the help of our performance analysis.

Ready to go. Lenovo is making it real easy for mainstream gamers who just want an affordable pick-up-and-play gaming PC without the hassle. Beginner builders will find a lot to like about the Legion C530 even if it's missing a few common features.

Next-gen budget smartphone. With the Redmi 6A, Xiaomi presents the successor of the affordable Redmi 5A, keeping it at the same price while improving the equipment significantly. We evaluate in our review what improvements are waiting for the buyer of the 90-Euro (~$102; starting at $90 in the US) smartphone and how it fares against the competitors.

Office or business? The Huawei MateBook D 14 W50F sits between both segments. The stylish case and plentiful security features point towards the laptop being an expensive business laptop. However, Huawei preinstalls Windows 10 Home and has equipped the device with few ports, which aligns the W50F with cheaper office laptops. The real drawback is less to do with the laptop’s classification though.

Better thanks to the Play Store. Acer’s 11.6-inch Chromebook convertible offers a touch-enabled IPS display and silent operation. Thanks to the inclusion of the Google Play Store, users can install countless Android apps on Acer’s Chromebook.

Well-dressed high performer! MSI's Prestige series promises desktop-level performance while maintaining maximum mobility at the same time. We have decided to take a closer look at whether MSI managed to keep its promises. At first glance, the device seems to keep its word, and a hexa-core CPU and GTX 1070 are great for much more than just working.

Power bank with a display. The Oukitel WP2 combines the two favorite aspects of Chinese smartphones: a robust presentation and huge batteries. But can the rest of the equipment keep up as well?

Sharp photos. The Sharp Aquos D10 is attempting to win the hearts of shoppers with its camera that has optical zoom and its almost bezel-free design. The D10 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC and dual 12 & 13 MP PDAF cameras. Read on to find out whether the D10 can perform as good as it looks.

Now with Coffee Lake-U and Thunderbolt 3. Intel has refreshed its lineup of NUC mini PCs under the brand new Bean Canyon platform that integrates Iris Plus graphics and a Coffee Lake-U CPU. Results are as expected with CPU performance most similar to the i7-8550U but with greatly improved GPU performance over the UHD Graphics 620.

Colorful. The case of the Umidigi Z2 attracts with its changing colors and the hardware also offers sufficient room for more-demanding tasks. We evaluate in our test whether the Z2 is able to assert itself against the competitors.

Videos in 4K HDR. The Sony Xperia XZ3 is the company’s latest premium smartphone and one that has numerous features that are designed to enhance camera quality, sound, system performance and make the device easier to use. The XZ3 has a 6-inch OLED display, the likes of which we have seen in many other modern high-end smartphones, but its lack of a notch distinguishes it from its 2018 cohort. Too much power? After checking out the Core i5 and Core i7 SKUs, we're now finally ready to benchmark the Core i9 version of the XPS 15 9570. In short, users are better off investing in more storage, RAM, or faster graphics than to plop down an additional $250+ for the Core i9-8950HK.

One without frills. For those who are just looking for a mid-range smartphone with pure Android, a nice case, and a large display, Motorola is offering the new Motorola One. You could describe the concept as "concentrating on the essentials." We take a closer look at the Motorola One in our test.

Good price-to-performance ratio. The Motorola Moto E5 Plus combines its huge 5000-mAh battery with a low price. Moreover, it also features a large screen and a slick case. Read our review to learn whether the Moto E5 Plus is worth buying.

Mighty, but still a tablet - The new iPad Pro is here with a fresh redesign, and it wants to prove that it can handle a full workday. This promise comes with caveats though. We will be covering the smaller 11-inch version in this review.

One step forward, two steps back. After the GX501 that was only mobile to a limited extent in favor of incorporating G-Sync, the brand-new GX531 is able to score with Nvidia's Optimus graphics switching. An extravagant phablet. The Honor 8X offers a large 6.5-inch display, extravagant looks as well as a good mid-range configuration. Find out how the new mid-range processor Kirin 710 can handle everyday tasks in our review.

Student convertible. The Trekstor Yourbook C11B is an 11.6-inch convertible that has an IPS touchscreen display, a fanless design and good battery life. The device even comes with a year’s MS Office 365 Personal and a one-year premium Sofatutor.com license.

Could be faster. The EliteBook x360 1030 G3 Core i7 SKU is a perfect example of why a pricier configuration may not always be the fastest when compared to a less expensive SKU. The Core i7 CPU on our HP is measurably slower than the same model with the more affordable Core i5.

Fast and expensive! Intel shows what it is made of with its first octa-core mid-range CPU, hot on the heels of AMD’s new Ryzen APUs, which have shaken up the desktop processor market. Find out in our review whether the Core i9-9900K is worth buying and how well it performs in our tests.

Compact 17-inch gaming laptop? The GL704GM carries the same CPU and GPU as the last generation GL703GM. So, what makes this new iteration so special? For one, it carries the narrowest bezels for a 17-inch gaming laptop at just over 7 mm on all three sides. The design will become a standard that future laptops will want to beat.

For display enthusiasts. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is another affordable mid-range smartphone model from the Chinese electronics manufacturer. The showpiece of the 160-Euro smartphone (~$183; starting at $180 in the US) is the built-in IPS panel that does not need to hide even from the smartphone high-end. In our test, the newest product of the Redmi series convinces not only with its display.

Double-edged sword Gigabyte's big 17-inch Sabre starts out with a lot of promise: The combination of a powerful new hexa core processor and a GTX 1060 should give rise to a full-fledged desktop replacement with plenty of gaming power. Can the Sabre 17 live up to its promise? Or will the saber grow dull only halfway there? Our review reveals the answer.

Room for improvement. Samsung has upgraded its flagship tablet, which is probably one of the last Android tablets to have both high-end specifications and pen input. However, the Galaxy Tab S4 has some shortcomings. Find out in what areas the Tab S4 falls short and for whom it is a worthwhile purchase in this detailed review.

A well-made allrounder. Acer's 15.6-inch allrounder is a lot more compact, slim and light than its competition. But there is no need to worry about having to trade these features with performance. The device also offers a matte IPS Full HD display, a GeForce MX150 GPU and a quad-core processor of the Whiskey Lake generation.

Swiss Army knife smartphone The Elephone Solder has a physical compass, an emergency light and is IP68 certified against dust and water; the only thing missing is a pocket knife. Find out in this review how well it functions as a smartphone too.

Outdoor notch. According to Ulefone, the notch in the Armor 5 is a distinguishing characteristic that makes it stand out among outdoor smartphones. We clarify in our test whether this is really the only thing that distinguishes the Armor 5 from the other robust smartphones.

4K? No problem! The successor to Nvidia's Pascal series is the Turing architecture. Let's find out what the new graphics cards are capable of and whether or not an upgrade makes sense. Today's contestant: The Asus ROG RTX Strix 2080 OC graphics card.

Performance step-up. Dell crams in one of the fastest mobile Intel CPUs into a thinner chassis than the last generation Precision 7510. Can owners really get the full performance out of the processor? Or is it throttle city?

An affordable stylus phone. Protected against shocks, water and dust. This is how LG has presented its Q Stylus, which comes with a stylus integrated into its 6.2-inch case. Find out what else the affordable smartphone has to offer in our review.

Too much of a good thing? Anybody looking for a powerful desktop replacement is at the right address with the XMG Ultra 17 from Schenker Technologies. We evaluate whether the cooling system offers sufficient reserves for its top equipment with the Core i9-9900K and GeForce GTX 1080. Update: The reason for the GPU throttling was found, and there is a higher score due to new software.

Handbrake Deluxe. Apple finally ships the MacBook Pro 15 with the new Intel processors. They feature 6 cores and should increase the multi-core performance significantly. At least in theory, because a comparison with the predecessor shows that the advantage is not always that big.

From GTX to RTX! Nvidia has finally brought its smallest RTX model to market having initially unveiled the series at this year’s Gamescom in Cologne. Asus has kindly provided us with its overclocked RTX 2070 graphics card for the day of its release so that we can put it through its paces. Read on to find out what the Asus ROG Strix RTX 2070 OC has to offer and how it performs in numerous benchmarks.

The 6T element. OnePlus has announced its latest flagship killer, which is subtly different from its predecessor that we reviewed back in August. Notably, the 6T has a larger display thanks to its smaller notch, but it has dropped the headphone jack. OnePlus has carried over the same cameras from the 6 and has kept pricing broadly the same, although the base model is now $20 more expensive. That additional outlay gets you double the storage though, so it is not just an arbitrary price rise. Attractive point-and-shoot. The Umidigi Z2 Pro is one of the innumerable iPhone X clones with an attractive design and good hardware. The smartphone's distinctive feature: Two 16 MP dual cameras, front and back.

Full power with four cores. Microsoft has updated to the Surface Pro series with quad-core Kaby Lake Refresh processors, but how well will these chips cope within an 8.5-mm thick tablet? Mini laptop. The Topjoy Falcon currently listed on Kickstarter is a mini convertible with Windows 10 and an actively cooled Gemini-Lake quad-core processor. Great again – Apple positions the iPhone XR between the two XS models’ size-wise but equips the device with a lower resolution LCD display and only a single rear-facing camera. Bigger but just as sharp. Perhaps surprisingly, the new Blade 15 Base Model does a few things better than the original Advanced Model while retailing for hundreds of dollars less. Inventive smartphone. With the Find X, the Chinese Oppo smartphone manufacturer tries a new way to get a bezel-less display. Despite the very attractive exterior of the Find X, all that glitters is not gold. Our review shows the weaknesses of the bezel-less Oppo smartphone and how it fares in the comparison to the Vivo Nex.

More versatile than ever. We check out the pricier Core i7 SKU to see how it holds when up against the less expensive Core i5 SKU. Is it worth investing in the faster option? And how much better is the faster option exactly?

Low Quality. Dell's standard Chromebook 11 leaves quite a bit to be desired. A low quality display and cheap construction drag down the device. Additionally, the limits of Chrome OS and bugs with Android app compatibility leave a bad taste.

AMD-only. After some mixed reviews of their first version HP has now released a new HP 17 with all-out AMD components and an IPS panel. It does certainly offer some improvements, but does not come without any backlash.

Almost free. In a world of smartphones and tablets we may often wonder whether we actually still need a notebook. Lenovo's answer to that question is the IdeaPad 320. It is available for an impressively low $300 and is supposed to support web-browsing and office applications.

Affordable narrow bezels. The GF63 is nearly the same size and weight as the GS65 but for hundreds of dollars less. MSI has created an excellent budget gaming system that's also light enough for schoolwork and travel.

Premium or just above average? For the first time ever Lenovo placed the speakers inside a convertible's hinges. The display supports Dolby Vision, and should thus offer additional value, at least on paper. Apart from this, the C930 is equipped with well-known hardware inside a good-looking case. Surface Go competitor. The Lenovo IdeaPad D330-10IGM is a 10.1-inch convertible that has no fan but has a bright IPS touchscreen, an LTE modem and decent battery life. The Pentium Silver N5000 processor provides enough power too.

Fast enough for Full HD! Now the mining boom has subsided, enormous amounts of used graphics cards are starting to hit the market. In this review, we take a look at AMD’s Radeon RX 580 to see if it is worth buying under the circumstances.

Looking for the magic... Honor has been a well-established smartphone manufacturer in Europe for some time now. The Huawei brand also carries a notebook as of late, although it is only available in Asia for the time being.
