Ryzen 5 6650U or Core i7-1270P? The Core i7-1270P is faster than the Core i5-1240P or Ryzen 5 6650U configurations on paper, but it's a bit more complicated in execution. The short Turbo Boost potential of the model means steeper throttling for the Core i7-1270P when running demanding loads.

What it feels like to be high. You don't really want to know what the creators of High on Life were on when developing the game. The title turned out to be one of the funniest and most creative first-person shooters in the past few years. But is the engine just as optimised as the wit on display?

Room for improvement. With a Core i5-12500H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3060 laptop GPU, all current titles look smooth on the matte FHD screen (300 Hz). The CPU and GPU are accompanied by a fast PCIe-4 SSD (1 TB), 16 GB of RAM, and a Thunderbolt 4 port. A copy of the Windows operating system is not included.

Now with Ray Tracing. Although the flagship role-playing game has been around for several years now, the developers did not miss the opportunity to add various new (graphical) features in the course of the patches. We tested several desktop and notebook GPUs with the current version - including RT benchmarks.

Better than the X1 Carbon. Lenovo refuses to offer its X1 models with AMD CPUs - perhaps there is an exclusive contract with Intel. Two performance cores for 15-Watt CPUs. Intel’s Alder Lake-U chips in the 15W segment are primarily designed for thin and light laptops. However, there can be massive performance differences depending on the implementation and it does not always make sense for the manufacturers to use U-series CPUs, either.

Well cooled: Even for a workstation with a 16-inch screen, the Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip is quite big and heavy. But an efficient cooling system inside the convertible easily dissipates the 140 watts of waste heat generated by the Intel Core i9-12950HX and Nvidia RTX A2000.

Just performance, hold the extras. If you don't mind giving up some auxiliary features, then the Pulse GL76 can deliver when it comes to performance and display quality especially for its $1200 to $1400 USD asking price. Expect more sales to come as we approach the launch of mobile GeForce 40 laptops.
